He earned a spot on the team with yesterday's game. If it's a question of him getting cut over someone like Metta for locker room purposes, I think Nick just proved he can still play at a decent enough level.

Like I said: he looks more like the Nick Young that earned a contract from us.

He can reinvent himself as a 3&D guy and with a team full of great influences like Mozgov, Calderon, and Deng the negative aspects of Nick Young are wildly reduced.

I'd even dare to start him at 2.

I don't like Lou starting because of the lack of defense and size he presents at SG.

And Nick provides the spacing and creating ability without needing the ball in his hands like Lou does.

Certainly a viable option... Two seasons ago, there would have been no question. It could still happen but the possibility is sketchy at this point. Young does provide the counter to the negatives you stated about Williams. Young also has competition at the 2/3 spots with Brown as much as the latter is reviled around here.

Lou has put out a great effort defensively the last two games. He's just not a great defender.

I'd still prefer the lineup of Russell/Clarkson/Deng/Randle/Mozgov starting, but Clarkson has been a revelation off the bench. His change of pace tears up opposing teams' benches.

The real issue is our SFs outside of Nick Young can't find their offense. Deng and Ingram don't know where to pick their spots yet.

The problem with Lou is he's undersized.

Deng was in a groove last night and picked his spots and made some impressive moves around the basket. I don't really expect him to take that initiative, he's more of a spot up corner, open target kind of guy anyway, which is fine for a lineup with Russ in it.

I'd really like to see Russ/Clarkson/Young/Nance/Moz. That may be our most balanced lineup with a good mixture of size, scoring, defense, and energy.

Maybe Calderon for better spacing but sure why not.

Nick will become the player he was a couple of years ago. Every player on the team found themselves just trying to somehow survive the past two seasons. Some handled it better than others. I didn't even recognize myself as a fan. I try to not bad mouth anyone but I was spewing insults at Byron all season. Can't even imagine how bad it was to play for him.

If Nick could focus on B-ball , a DAR/JC/Young/Deng/Moz would be nice to see , as I still maintain Deng is a better fit at the 4 against most matchups ...

I was so sure he was going to be a former player, that I moved my emoticons of him under that category. Guess I have to move them back now.

Good for you Nick. It would have been very easy to pack it in, but you put in the work and have turned things around.

Still don't want him around the team. Don't like his attitude, don't like who he hangs around with, don't think it's good for Russ at all. Russ already supposedly has some Young in him when it comes to not taking things serious enough, don't want him rubbing off on any of the guys any more. If we're stuck with him oh well I guess, I hope he makes some shots and plays defense, and takes a restraining order out on Gilbert Arenas.

In regards to all the swaggy-p stuff, its possible he turned the corner... don't wanna read into it too much, but having an engagement publicly broken up could change a few things in a person. And also, Luke
