    Is that legal under the CBA? Could we potentially keep him on the books, put him on the IR all year, and forbid him from coming to games or even interacting with the team?

    I feel like the Player's Association might have issue with preventing a healthy player from even practicing with the team, and not even giving him the opportunity to prove his worth and eventually crack the rotation. It would sabotage any future value he might have.

    Honestly, I feel like Luke will get him and D'Lo to bury their issues and he'll end up staying on the roster. Maybe even get a few minutes here and there if someone gets hurt.

    I don't see how it would be illegal. The Lakers did it at the end of last season and I've heard other teams do it too. Generally it leads to a buy-out so the player can go get minutes somewhere else.

    I don't want Young around anymore. His antics grew more and more annoying and his influence is poor on our team.

    I've kind of wondered the same thing. Because I expect him to be soooo good ..... maybe Luke does do that and turns Nick into a productive worker droid again? Whether this would be a "good" rehabilitated droid to have around still is another issue. As realdeal is saying.

    Well...Young would be willing to work with Walton but I would believe Russell will be uneasy having him around. It will be a slippery slope for all parties. Two seasons ago, this would have been a promising combination.
