Here's a vision for next year.... Walton Coaching.... ----------- and the kids all listening intently and figuring it out
Clarkson's face is the only one of the bunch that says, "I've got it figured out" Everyone else's mouth if either open or deep in thought.
Do we have any clue yet who the most responsible for defense assistant is going to be? Is Byron's son officially gone .... I'd be guessing?
Definitely. Ball is moving around, ball finds energy, we outscore the opponent. When you outscore your opponent you win every time.
"Durant was mad at his teammates, mad at the coaches, mad at everybody. Brian Keefe told him to get over himself. "That was probably one of the most realest conversations I’ve had with a coach, ever," Durant recalled last week. "He let me know how bad I was — my body language, my attitude. I just decided to look at myself and self-evaluate. And he was right. I had to change how I was thinking, how I was acting toward my teammates. Everything." Keefe, the assistant coach whose previous coaching experience came at South Florida and Division II Bryant University, can get in Kevin Durant’s face and say "not good enough." And Durant listens. Oklahoma City coach Scott Brooks: "We both knew, early on, being around KD, he’s coachable," Brooks said Sunday. "We were able to help mold him. He was 19 years old and the canvas was wide open. He wanted to be better every day. Coach [Keefe] and KD, they grew together, and the growth started with what they started together. Kevin didn’t really know what the NBA was about but he saw the success he started having when he worked with him." Keefe’s first two years with the Thunder were as a workout guy — Durant’s workout guy. But he became more. "He spends every day with him and he lives and dies by every workout with him," Brooks said. "That’s what successful organizations do. They find self-motivated players that have high character and are great talents, like Kevin is, and they have organizations that help develop them." http://www.nba.com/2014/news/featur...umble-kobe-bryant-interview-dirk-nowitzki-qa/
'Keefe joined the Thunder franchise as a player development assistant on August 23, 2007, when the team was still the Seattle SuperSonics. Prior to that time, Keefe had been a video coordinator for the San Antonio Spurs.[1] Prior to joining the Spurs, Keefe was an assistant coach for four seasons at NCAA Division II Bryant University in Smithfield, R.I., and one season at the University of South Florida.[1] In 2010, Keefe was given defensive assistant coaching duties after the departure of Thunder assistant Ron Adams.[2] Keefe also coached the Thunder's summer league roster in Orlando from July 5–9, 2010.[2] As a player, Keefe spent two seasons of NCAA basketball at UC Irvine before transferring to UNLV his final two seasons, graduating in 1999.[1] In 2014, Keefe joined the New York Knicks coaching staff under Derek Fisher.' I couldn't find the link moderators. I apologize. I got it from 'Lakersfan' at LG.
I can't this post and information enough. Doesn't sound like is getting traded any time soon. He will be exactly like Kobe was grilling and wanting to know everything about MJ .... with Phillip. This is freaking genius. Great pedigree on this guy. Luuke is assembling one hell of a staff. Wow!
