Great clutch scores by Russell... He had ice in his brains on that last defensive possession before his game winner.

Really liked how he and Nance rallied the troops in the second half.

Luke has to work on the team coming out stronger to begin games.

But even if it is summer league, that was a good performance and a good win. Russell is showing his leadership and the clutch gene.

tom penn thinks he should have won the next game with one shot, then stroked his blue ox. then and only then is he worthy of the penn.

Kid is so clutch, but he cannot come into a game ready to go. It takes him a quarter to a half to wake up, he's gotta fix this. The careless dribbling, the awful D, you gotta be better than that, you're expected to be our best player soon. A lot of pressure, yes, but I think he can live up to it, he gets better as the game gets tighter and further along, he's got some Kobe clutch in him.

Yeah. I mentioned above that's something the coaches are going to have to work in with him. I can take the rusty shooting but the turnovers are too much. Gotta get that under control.

Yeah D'Angelo needs to play with more effort. The last thing we need is for him to be Harden 2.0. I think the competition has something to do with it, but he needs to work on being consistent and putting in that effort no matter who he's facing.

It's alright, he'll head to Supercuts for the deluxe package to get over it.

On the shot that DAR hit right before that, did I see him doing the ice in his veins thing which if so allowed McConnell to take off and blow down the floor for his game winning shot. Errr.....almost game winning shot. :Magic Brows:. But come on DAR start playing smarter, sooner. Props for the clutchness though. :Headbang:

I love the young man's moxie but he has to be aware of what is going on. Celebrating while his man is racing to the cup... Anyway, life lesson. Russell will be just fine. As I stated in another post, I fully expect him to be the go to guy in these kinds of situations in the coming season.

My kids and I were screaming umping up and down on that last shot!

Doesn't matter if it's a Summer League game. That was fantastic. Clutch is clutch.

Russell was clutch and I hate to nitpick, but did anyone else think Russell would be a better passer?

Last year when we drafted him I thought he was going to be a Jason Kidd/Steve Nash-like passer, but he hasn't really shown that at all through the past regular season (I'm giving him the benefit of the doubt because he was handcuffed by Boron). However, he's been unimpressive as a passer in summer league so far as well.

I was hoping he would pass like Ben Simmons, that kid had some incredible passes.

Thing is he hit back to back clutch shots.

A lot of players would've been so down after blowing it on defense that they wouldn't have hit that game winner.
