True... A load of reps will bring consistency in his shot. Did we not retain Tracy Murray as our shooting coach? I thought he was hired in that capacity...

I haven't heard his name in a little bit... That's a good question.

By the way for those who aren't able to or don't want to watch that video: Larry Nance Jr. said he's never been a three point shooter in high school, college, or his rookie season but he's absolutely going to be shooting more in the future. He says it's something he's never done, but knows he's capable of doing it. Very impressed with Ingram. Likes that most of the core group guys are here working together and gaining chemistry.

I'm guessing it's Jud's job now. And the GS guy, what's his face?

Larry's shot shows a lot of promise and I'm fairly certain it will develop. I'm not worried about that.

I think his main issue is his lack of ball handling skills. This really limits his game to spot up shooting and cutting. There's nothing wrong with that but limits him and puts him solely at the pf slot.

Nice to see one of our dudes actually jump for a jump shot again rather than trying to keep up with an Old West Quick Draw shoot out.... Bang you're dead if you f*** up and "miss" .... drawing against Splash Bros at GS. When they're on. When they're off .... we'll ....s*** ....not so much "Win" last several Finals games this year.

Though, now looking at the actual motion footage, he's not doing a lot of elevation either. Everything seems heading shooting wise to fast draw mentality. How many players in the game today can be good doing that?

What a great interview! Mature kid who is knows what he wants to work on, has a willing attitude. Understands what needs to happen as far as team chemistry and carries a quite confidence. "I plan to be on Sportscenter during Summer League"

    ^ This.

If he wants to really develop to play many other positions his ball handling needs to be a top priority.

I think he is a PF (exclusively).

But better handles would help him a lot, grabing boards and initiating a fastbreak or plain taking PFs off the dribble.

Definitely better handles would improve his game a lot. After that a post game is necessary.

Boy does he look like a different guy. Obviously he's playing against lesser competition, but he was just more tuned in defensively. I was more impressed with his defensive effort than his shot making from the outside. If he can continue in that vein though, Julius might end up on the bench.

...had the same thoughts too about him taking Randle's starting spot. Or they could end up splitting minutes or fielded together. Nance at the 4, Randle at 5...Clarkson, Ingram and Russell round it out. In short stints, this line-up could potentially light up people.

Saw him channeling his inner Draymond Green out there, doing a little bit of everything.

It isn't very unlikely that Randle ends up on the bench but then we need to trade Randle immidiately before his value is in the toilet. Randle also isn't the type of character to accept a bench role. He will become an issue in the locker room (because he is definitely too competitive to accept that he is going to be a bench player).

Last but not least...Randle and Nance can never play together. Not as SF and PF and not as PF and C. Just not Happening.

Interesting statement to make definitively when chances are excellent, would be my guess, exactly that will happen at various times for certain matchups over the course of the season. Never say never.

I don't mind Randle and Nance playing more or less based on match ups every night.

But one has to emerge as the better player. I don't know who it will be. But if its Nance, Randle will not be happy here.

I haven't seen any evidence at all that Randle would turn into a locker room issue. He's a high character kid and always carried himself that way. I don't agree that we must trade one or the other. There's plenty of room for both. And if Nance can consistently hit a jumper, then there's no reason they can't play together. I think Nance played some small ball five last year as I recall and it worked fine.

I think Coach Luke is salivating with all the weapons he has at his disposal. Small line ups/ big line ups/ midsize line ups
