so, i've been saying for months how catastrophic it was that russell and clarkson were being shepherded around by these two clowns...the question now is can you undo the damage?

I think so. Clearly Russell and Nick are no longer friends and I've seen nothing in Clarkson, Randle, Ingram, or any other young guy to think their work ethics are affected. Russell and Jordan are, from what we can see, probably the most prone to that lifestyle and they seem to have realized the negativity there. This phone situation was probably a blessing in disguise.

Wait, what indication was there that the kids were ever hanging out with Arenas? Last I heard, Nick wasn't even hanging out with him because he was upset with Arenas talking about his relationship.

From the looks of that video, Arenas pretty much broke into Nick's house and started saying/doing some stupid stuff. Nick looked very uncomfortable but is the kind of guy who didn't want to kick out an old friend.

I want Nick gone as much as the next guy, but Arenas being a douche is not evidence of that. Arenas seems like a terrible person and/or is need of some mental help. And that's obvious. If by some chance he crossed paths with the young kids, there is no way they'd be like "Wow, Gilbert is so cool! I wanna be just like him, out of the league by 30 years old saying crazy stuff on Instagram and Snapchat cause I'm desperate for attention!"

There are fantastic reasons why a guy who could score 30 PPG in the NBA isn't in the NBA and no one wants anything to do with him. Stay the f*** away.

And then that incident with Young, JC, and Russ in that jeep and that lady that claimed they were being vulgar to her on the road happened same day.

Remember when that woman accused the Lakers of yelling lewd things at her elderly mother? Arenas was with them I believe when that happened. I know there were times when Arenas was hanging around with Nick and a couple young kids I just don't remember them specifically.

As for Arenas/Nick, I agree Nick looked uncomfortable but let me tell you: if my best friend from when I was 4 years old comes in and starts throwing my kid's stuff and painting on my walls I'm kicking his *** out and I don't care what he has to say. A good and real friend wouldn't do that and a good and real friend would understand he was kicked out for good reason. Either way I don't want Nick allowed back in our practice facility, near our stuff, or near Staples Center unless he has another uniform on.

it is pretty hilarious that after the whole phone incident began Nick's downward spiral, now one of his best friends barges into his home and apparently records the entire visit to share on social media. for a somewhat intelligent person this might put things into perspective, but this IS Nick we're talking about so i wouldn't hold my breath.

Really sad turn of events here... I don't know what happened to Young with his downward spiral. He had it all...playing for the team he cheered for...a celebrity life...a well known girlfriend. Two seasons ago, Clarkson noted him as a positive influence when things were so bad.

He's gone...and he has no one to blame but himself.

I couldn't allow someone to treat my child like that, Nick should have thrown Gil out. Hopefully Nick and Gil can both mature someday.

...we can only hope for both of their sakes. At this point in their lives where they have had an entitled existence and coddled...I have my doubts.

I'm sure she has had MANY people contacting the franchise about this. For this to be a potential straw that broke the camel's back, he seems strangely unconcerned. My guess is he's going through some depression right now, and he's going to need a new start anyways. He won't ever be happy in LA again, so parting will be mutually beneficial.

I'd like to add that I agree one's life matters no matter who it is...just don't be a dip and act like a responsible, productive, positive member of society. Young has the means and won't have to work a day in his life.
