Yeah we touched on it earlier, but seeing this kid up close a couple times now really confirms it. Russell and Clarkson are flamboyant and flashy. Randle and Ingram are more hard hat types that just want to put in work. I think Nance Jr. is actually somewhere in the middle. It's a really great mixture to have. You have to have kids who have a flair for fun on the team like Russell and Clarkson who can be creative on the floor. It keeps things fun and interesting. Those players need guys who are more grounded though who will keep them focused on the prize and that's where Ingram and Randle step in. Fantastic combo.

This upcoming season for me could harken back to the Van Exel and Jones teams [pre-O'Neal/Bryant] of the mid-90's... A young, precocious and unfazed group. Expectations are low but will cause teams not to think were an easy night off. I dare to say that we even have more talent than those squads. I doubt Deng will throw a tizzy and take off water skiing for a couple of days.

Mitch is saving cap room for... something? Who knows what. Ingram's actual contract will be almost a million more than his cap hold is right now so the longer we wait, the more cash we have.

Yes we did but I believe Russell signed his deal minutes before the 1st summer league game.

He hit 2 very nice jumpers rising right up over guys, a smooth layup, a stutter step and a dunk, he looked smooth, and he started off kinda feeling things out and not even being too aggressive. Defensively his length is an issue for anyone he's on, his blocks were crazy. His potential is huge.

What is Bresnahan's hard on about Ingram coming off the bench this coming season? He has said it 3 times already since he has been on the show. Ingram needs to start.

All he said was Deng is the vet, probably gonna be the team captain, the highest paid player on the team, and will get the start. He also said he thinks he gets the start for the first few months and then we see from there, and that Deng even said he's here to do what the team asks of him. Also said Ingram probably doesn't care about starting right away as long as he is getting his minutes, and if Deng and Ingram split minutes and even share the floor at the 3 and 4, he'll get that. Bresnahan seemed level headed, I don't see why Ingram needs to start immediately, if he earns it, fine, if Deng earns it, fine.

i don't believe they plan on just handing Ingram the starting role. If he is able to beat out a guy like Deng, then we're in great shape.

I think there's a good chance that Ingram earns the starting spot. I mean damn he was ridiculous in this game how natural he was. If he's not starting at first, I think he'll earn the start sooner rather than later.

That one juke that led to a flush had me snickering to myself... Ingram had that one gliding score where he finished with his off hand. Great block when he was beaten off the dribble. Bricked two at the charity stripe. Scary when Russell said he wasn't even trying according to him. We'll see tomorrow when Ingram goes against the LSU freight train...

Looked like a natural out there. And his length is still so very surprising to me.
