Um... avoid the discussion? Why? Is it more loaded than our discussion on religion and such?

Now, does it belong here? It's debatable, since we are discussing a person who has them. They are no less relevant than, say, Julius's engagement is relevant to his thread.

Anyway, my initial comment was in jest.

Maybe this isn't the thread for the discussion. We should totally have it though.

    :D

That's a good way to have a discussion...

Anyway. How bout that Ingram kid, eh? I wonder when we're actually going to introduce him. Has to be pretty soon.

One thing is for sure. His tattoos are wrong. But how can you bag on him when his coach has one of the worst of all time lol?

    https://jdgarzadot.wordpress.com/2016/06/27/why-brandon-ingram-shouldve-been-the-number-one-pick/

Why I believe Brandon should've been the number one overall selection and certainly would've loved seeing the Lakers take him over Simmons. Not trying to trash the Simmons kid. I think he's very good. I think he'll be a Lamar Odom/Draymond type. An All Star. A terrific player. Just don't see LeBron James or Magic Johnson. I think Ingram is the better fit, will have the better career, and is our next franchise player along with D'Angelo Russell.

He will be asked to do a lot with a young supporting cast. And he is scrawny. Not crazy.

Let's seen him prove them wrong.

Second sounds right to me. I'm not bullish on Buddy being a huge factor as a rookie. I like Buddy, but I think that's taking it a bit far. Ingram to me is the 2nd best rookie. We'll see I guess. Ingram did admit to taking a minute to adjust to college. Maybe he'll need that same sort of adjustment for the pros and maybe that holds him back.

That Olympic Select Team is an important milestone for him.

Whoah now ... whatever on the second, big and whatever exactly it's meaning, but back away from the first. Grateful Dead related with both Luke and Bill and the Dead members who used to have free run of their house, the pool and the teepee in the back yard. Show some respect for Classic rock and roll history.

    :p  ;)

Ingram's personality plus his talent and work ethic push him IMO to the best pick in the draft even if Simmons went first. It's great to have a young player with nearly unlimited potential who is also humble and willing to put in the work and effort it will take to become a superstar.

I'm looking forward to the introductory press conference next week!

Hey don't sleep on the Croat .....this is his dream team scenario.

    :KobePoint:

He be having the soft hands. No more Slow Roy fumbling away assists or throwing up weird a** shots.

I'm not worried about Ingram's ability to put on weight

Lebron was a man-child already in high school. I stood 2ft away from him when he played in the Reebok summer league and I recall being surprised how ridiculously big/thick he was as a projected PG.

This was posted in the Draft Prospects thread a while back, but the best comparison is Antekotumpo and how he developed his body in 3 years.
