I think we'd all be happy to just get to Game 7 of the Finals at this point.

Russell averaged 13.2 ppg last year with BYRON SCOTT playing the tear down/build up, tear down/build up mind games all season long. Imagine what he can do with Luke not giving him a short leash and allowing him to just play. I think 15/7 is very attainable next season. I also see Clarkson taking a HUGE step forward and averaging 18-20 ppg.

At this point we would be happy to actually look competitive by game 7 of the regular season from how last 2 seasons have gone

Your projected stat line for Russell is reasonable but his assist total could be higher by at least two more given that he will be playing in a system that is suited to his court vision and passing ability. Russell's minutes will be more consistent provided he embraces his leadership role and stay focused. Part of the problem he had with Scott was his reported wandering attention span though he was just a 19 year old rookie. Reading about his offseason activities plus establishing a solid mentor in Johnson, Russell should be able to leave last year's inconsistencies behind and bear down on his task at hand.

Clarkson? His terrible defense did not win him much confidence but he has acknowledged that shortcoming and is working on it. 20 is high...16-18 to me seems in line. Randle will be another possible positive development... If he starts pencil Ingram for 10 since he will be adjusting to NBA speed.

Really can't wait to see DRuss in Luke's offense, I really think he will thrive.

BSPN is truly a joke. I caved and tuned in for the NBA draft preview.

Jalen and Wilbon suggested that the lakers should trade dangelo russell. Not kidding. They brought up trust and maturity. Do these clowns even watch the Lakers?

Then a third clown said the same and that dangelo isn't a franchise point guard. They had us taking Dunn #2 and the C Bags drafting Ingram. Going back to avoiding BSPN all summer.

Man, these two guys are really close. I'd keep Russell just for the fact that he might be able to recruit KAT when he becomes a free agent lol.

Yeah... they even lived together before the draft.

I am guessing they built a solid foundation.

I would consider anything more than 15/5 a success. But I don't expect 18/7 on average. Thats too high I think.

15/5 would be a miniscule improvement. He averaged 15.1/3.3 post all-star.

If Russell is getting 33-35 mpg, I'm thinking he averages 18,6,5,44%,38%,78%.

Also, depends on who we snag in free agency.
