I think that's lead to his dwindling career more than his off-the-court baggage. If you can still play at a high level, the NBA will support you somehow.

The biggest problem at this point with Nick Young is that no other team wants him, making him difficult to trade on his own. He's probably only worth being used as a salary filler for a trade with a team over the cap.

Hopefully he plays better in Luke's system since I fully expect him to remain a Laker next season.

Agree on the possibilities... Young could be a plus but apparently he mentally "checked-out" on the squad last season which led him to being de-activated. If he does remain, he might end up being a distraction. If so, maybe he can play the 3 and Williams at the 2? Young is not a total waste in that he can probably still create offense off the catch or on the dribble.

Maybe the Clippers will take him back, they like recycling our garbage.

Nick needs to be stretched or waived or bought out. Yeah, no one wants to trade for him, but he's got to go. I would trust Anthony Brown more as a backup 3 next season than Nick, at least Brown goes out there and does his job without drama, doesn't take stupid shots.

Sure we can use Nick as a back up 3 next year but he's not the kind of vet we need or want around our young guys. His mind is half on the game and half on the LA lifestyle. I hope we waive him soon, isn't there a deadline?

There are some respectable backup SFs available.

Solomon Hill and Sasha (I'll now be campaigning for him to make his return, so be warned) are both cheaper than Nick and are probably better than Nick. They're definitely better than Nick gave us last season.

Vujacic could transfer his "practice" accuracy with reasonable minutes. :) He did have a small resurgence last year when Rambis gave him the opportunity after Fisher was canned. Not familiar with Hill...

Solomon Hill is going to get a surprise contract this summer. Someone will pay good money to him and he probably deserves it.

primarily a 2 but I'm sure he could play the 3. That would be a nice grab if we could get him. But I doubt he leaves POR's side.
