Luuuuke!! You were the bomb. The one guy in the NBA shooting like 70% from 3 point range the first couple of months, with that new, sand paper surface ball they tried out until December or whenever that one year. Well hell no one else seemed to like it.
I'm not sure how I feel about this given Jefferson is a complete unknown as a coach. I would rather have a defensive minded coach to complement the current group of assistants, but there seems to be no momentum at this point with any other possible hire.
Hell...if Jefferson comes on board maybe he can un-retire and be that do all wing that can back up/mentor Ingram [assuming we draft him as projected]. He does have very good ball IQ to know what he is doing out there. Jefferson was one of the big reasons Cleveland did not get run off the court in the Finals. He and Thompson essentially did all the dirty work.
What's up Rush?? I kind of like it. I think he'd have a pretty powerful voice when it comes to work ethic and what it takes to win today. I mean who knows better than him? He wouldn't be a lead assistant or anything like that. I would like one more proven staff member, but I think we're pretty locked in at this point. I think it'll be alright.
Not to mention ..... Luke living' his wildest dreams. Living at home in Manhattan Beach, coaching the Los Angeles Lakers and having his best basketball buddy and friend coaching each day out on the floor with him. I mean Rich does have game still and just nailed a great series of clutch minutes in the NBA Finals. I too like the ability to be hands on in practice. He's going to be better still than some of the guys they bring into camp.
I hope it's on ESPN 710. With Verizon Fios moving to Frontier, I can't use Verizon to log in and TWC hasn't updated their "select your provider" selections.
