It was discussed in the draft prospect thread. The general consensus is that Ford is an idiot trying to get hits and this rumor likely has no basis in reality.

Ford IS an idiot. Just a question of whether this is a particular example of that fact.

I thought the whole D'Angelo Russell-Nick Young thing was under the rug. It would be extremely stupid to trade away Dloading. If anything, trade Nick Young.

If true, which is doubtful, then Mitch and Jimmy are admitting they made a mistake:Laugh:Personally I'm willing to wait for Russell to show his full potential just to save me from the needling of my cousins who keep insisting we made a mistake drafting DAR.

Plus, you have to wait because things will look a lot better and more open with Luke at the helm now. That reason alone is why you don't trade any of our young players even if you want to down the line.

6'5" Russell with all that potential with a year in the league under his belt about to play for Luke for a 6'3" rookie with potential. Doesn't make sense that would be done at this point in time.

We would be the laughing stock of the league for a decade if we traded Russell based on the Nick Young fiasco. D-Lo is going to be great.

Crazy how the internet works these days.

Mitch in passing: "Wouldn't it be great if we had (2) Top Five picks this year?
"Someone said Lakers are interested in another top"
"Lakers willing to trade DAR for another top 5 pick"
"Lakers taking offers on DAR for lottery pick"
"Lakers currently shopping DAR, hoping to get lottery pick"
"Lakers willing to trade DAR for 2nd rounder"
    "Lakers might waive DAR"
"Lakers not returning DAR's phone calls, and he's not allowed in Staples Center"

Just ridiculous how reporting goes now.

It would be dumb to trade Russell to get back into the top 5. Let the kid get a real shot with a real coach at least.

I agree with that one poster in saying mitch/ jim would be admitting they made a mistake if they trade dlo. Also the best they could hope for is pho with the 4th pick. Do we really want to deal dlo to a division rival? Imagine dlo/booker back court reaching their full potential...they'll be raining 3s on us like klay/steph

Russell and Ingram could drop 300 threes next season.

If both healthy, i can see them around 400 for a season (5 a game is doable) ;).

Anyone thinking about giving up DLo for whatever the rumors are spitting out is insanely dumb. Just plain stupid.

I think Ingram and Simmons are likely to be better, but he's going to be a star.

Potentially. Then again, it wouldn't surprise me if Russell is better than both; take of the Byron shackles next season, and he's going to shine.
