point was that houston could have had bosh and parsons because the latter's cap hold was so small. parsons didn't actually influence the bosh signing, but had houston matched, it would have closed the door on anything else due to timing issues (bosh picked miami prior to the RFA offer decision time).

as for who regrets what...i think dallas plans on keeping parsons at max or near-max, so i'm guessing they're not regretting it. morey let an above average nba starter walk for nothing. he might regret that.

in terms of this situation, parsons signed his RFA offer right away, forcing houston to move quickly in FA. had he waited, they may have more options, either in FA or via trade. the longer clarkson waits to sign an offer elsewhere, the longer the lakers have to tinker on the market. once they match his RFA offer, he's on the cap for that amount (as opposed to his MUCH smaller cap hold).

if cuban doesn't, somebody else will, perhaps even the lakers. don't want to get morey-ed here.

and i wish the lakers had a wes matthews type on the roster. as for his contract, it's going to look pretty normal in about two months.

Parsons has had two season ending knee injuries, but he's like 27, and he's good. I hope we don't do it, but I wouldn't be surprised if someone gave him $15m+.

If jc improves dramatically on his defense plus being stronger will help, then I believe he should start and not be the 6th man. I'm hoping he's working out in order to be better defensively

As I mentioned a few pages back in the Clarkson-for-Okafor trade talks, an elite work ethic can never be underestimated. He will be our best player again next year.

Looks promising, but I hope he spends at least as much time working on his D as he does in the weight room... Any rumors/news on that end?

How great and refreshing it is to have a bunch of hard working kids who want to get better and better. We will probably never get a player with a Kobe dedication level, but I'm more than happy with this group. Kudoz to the Management for choosing the right peaces.
