Because I have been saying they will be in the Finals all season long, and with the right matchup and if healthy, they will win. And you've been saying all along "oh this team can beat them and that team can beat them", and none have. The Raptors are not gonna beat the Cavs in the end, come on get real. You're in denial of how good they are, and I can't stand that narrative, because they are damn good, and LeBron has plenty of help, and if they win LeBron isn't the greatest player of all time, and if they lose he didn't not have enough help. Tired of that crap, it was so predictable all season long they'd be in the Finals, the East sucks eggs. OKC hot, but LeBron teams have always been a bad matchup for them. Hopefully this is the year that changes and they finally mature/grow up and break through though, again, I hope like he'll that's the case.
I don't see why anyone would assume Toronto can't beat Cleveland. They handled them pretty easily in back to back games and the series is tied 2-2. It they're struggling against the Raptors then why should they be favored against a red hot Thunder team? I never said the Cavs weren't good. They clearly are, but they're very inconsistent and even if they get out of that series I see no reason why they should be favored. The past is irrelevant. It's about right now and OKC has dominated the two best teams in the league.
Heh heh. I guess this is good for us in a way, we get Luke sooner. He might even be here next week for the Ingram/Simmons workouts. This is less coaching than it is a horrible matchup though, IMO, and OKC clearly wants this way more. They haven't been healthy for 3 years, they finally are again and they're hungry.
KD and RW will be ferocious in their quest for a first championship. The whole team will be. Give them health and I could see them taking out Cleveland if that's who comes out. I would bet on them to beat the Raptors.
Stop, please, just stop, get real. The Raptors are not winning 2 games in Cleveland. The Cavs will win behind their home crowd in game 5, and they probably close it out in game 6 in a close one. If they don't though, they aren't losing at home in a game 7 to Toronto. Your "I don't see why" logic doesn't hold, it hasn't held all year. Let's just rehash our conversation from January http://lakersball.com/threads/lbj-a...erteam-to-beat-monsters.61/page-43#post-86466 What's the pattern here? Who has been right so far?
The Warriors are playing like they won 9 games and lost 73 lol. I'm sorry but they look like a totally different team to me. Their entire roster looks shook and seem like they have no game plan for OKC's length and size in the paint. Also we're getting a glimpse at what the Warriors look like when you take their 3 ball away and slow down the pace they're comfortable with. They look really average. The Thunder have found their mojo, they've matured before our eyes. They started off slow and peaked at the right time which is in the playoffs. Taking out the two top teams in the NBA with TKO punches is beyond brilliant. If they can beat the Cavs, and LeBron to top off the big 3 beat down (Warriors, Spurs and Cavs)then wow!!! They deserve all the praise and the title.
Man, Westbrook has been my fav non Lakers player for quite some time. Please God, let him wear p&g 2 years from now.
OKC has been beyond impressive. They are so hungry right now. They took down the 67 win Spurs and are about to take out the 73 win Warriors. They are on a complete tear. They seem to have more energy than their opponents in these games. They are on a roll and I hope they destroy Lebronze and co. I don't see GS bouncing back to win three straight. The writing is on the wall right now. OKC is headed back to the Finals.
Sadly I think all hope for seeing either one of them here is slipping away as they head to the Finals. If they win it all, I don't see them breaking it up any time soon. However if they choke again vs. Lebronze it might be a different story.
so much for the warriors coasting through the playoffs who would have expected this? i just hope whoever comes out of the west can stop the cavs from winning it all, assuming they get past toronto ideally, i'd love to see a toronto-okc final with the raps winning it all
OKC is beginning to look like the Dallas team that won it all in 2011. Running hot at the right time.
Warriors need to slow the pace down and control their defensive glass if they want to win. They have no shot playing at a fast pace against OKC KD is finally using his potential on D ... He's been awesome against SAS and in this series . Westbrook is the most athletic player in the league's history right ?
