much like the spurs blowing out okc in game 1 of that series, this one doesn't move the needle much for me. a gs win in the next one, even by one point, erases it all. i will say that all the teams planning on chasing durant need to be considering their plans b-z. leaving the team he's on makes very little sense to me.
I really don't care who wins between OKC and GS. Just gotta make sure whoever wins beats The Kang. That's all that matters. Nothing else.
...fessing up but I would like to see Durant beat James in The Finals. Winner of Game 4 likely wins the series.
I'd love to see this. A couple of the league's biggest stars being 'validated' with a title is only a good thing, makes the league look better/stronger. As much as I hated it, Boston winning, KG/Pierce/Allen getting rings made the league better and renewed a Lakers/C Bags rivalry, 'validated' their careers. Dirk getting a ring was good too, 'validated' another star from his era. For years now it's been the Spurs or LeBron, other than the one year the Thunder made the finals. The Warriors winning was great for boosting new stars to follow. If Durant and Westbrook get rings, it only makes the league look stronger, and like there is some actual parity, when there is truly very little.
Amen... It is good for The League's best players that have been around for awhile and built a legacy to win one. To be honest, I was glad to see San Antonio bounced [respect to Kasumi wherever she may be]. Having said that, I don't want the Clippers "validated" in the same vein. I'd rather see Memphis or Toronto do it. Westbrook is the closest thing to 24 in terms of mindset and play.
OKC goes thru SA and GSW... and gets beat by Bronnie. This would ruin my summer but i can totaly see it happen .
Great game by OKC ... Donovan is learning fast and has impressed me in these playoffs so far . Green definetely should be suspended , it was intentional ... but we all know he won't be
What I love about Adams is opponents are playing dirty with him , hoping him to retaliate and get suspended ... but he doesn't care and keeps his composure . He basically getting in his opponents head this way
Waiters is playing very well Had no idea his brother got shot this year btw http://www.theplayerstribune.com/dion-waiters-thunder-brother/
I want Luke to come back home asap to build relationships and focus on the development of the kids, so the best case scenario would be the GSW losing in 5 games and Durant sweeping Lebron in the Finals. I'm rooting for OKC.
Great post @Weezy , We can be selfish since we've had our dynasty years with the lakers or another example is the spurs and bulls. But seeing players who "deserve" to win a championship/ring is very satisfying as a basketball fan. You mentioned Dirk, and definitely came to mind when he won his ring. KD and Westbrook are probably next set of players who I want to win as well. I admire these guys who just go about their business, come to work and just ball out.
Appears that Green will not be suspended for his Rockette impersonation to Adams' family jewels. It was intentional that you have to be a simpleton not to think it wasn't.
Well that was easy. I thought it looked like he was selling a flop. Some guy on Twitter went through and compiled a video of Draymond doing this multiple times before with his leg. Much like Julius flails his arms/legs when he is in the lane, Draymond his own variation. Something that needs to stop due to the off chance this happens and catches someone in their little Thunders.
^little Thunders... If they outlawed the Reggie Miller leg kick on shot attempts, The League could do the same for Green's. There's reflex actions and there are those that aren't.
