Man.. I was at the final game vs Utah & there were Laker fans behind me yelling "Snitch!!!" every time DLO touched the ball.
This won't be an easy shadow to get out from under..

No it won't, but if D'Lo becomes the player a lot of think he'll be which is a great player, one of the top point guards in the game, a franchise type player, nobody is gonna give a damn about that tape.

I found that funny. Like Salley knows this locker room. Besides, half the guys that were part of that drama will be gone or young enough to forgive the kid. Not to mention, let's just trade him with his value is apparently low. Good thing Salley isn't the GM.

The Lakers petitioned for Randle to be considered a rookie, but the NBA denied the request.

D'Lo with more social media controversy. Posted a picture of himself apparently finishing up with a workout in the gym and slipping out of his basketball shoes into some flip flops, at 1:54 AM. Lazy cancer couldn't even keep working till 2. I've been grinding (in Final Fantasy X) all day and plan on keeping at it for another hour or so. And I'm not even getting paid. What's his excuse?

On a more serious note, I think he deserved to make the first team and I still think in 5 years he's going to be considered 1B to Karl Anthony Towns' 1A when ranking this draft class. I also think he's the kind of guy who might not say anything about it, but he's taking the 2nd Team "award" as an insult and is gonna use it as fuel in the gym.

Honestly, the snitch thing did him in....both in the ROY voting and 1st team honors....I can't understand how OKAFOR made 1st team all rookie when he only played 53 games and his team had one of the worst records of ALL TIME. I'm sorry, those two facts should disqualify Okafor from any awards...and when he DID play, his team was worse with him on the court.

I also can't understand how Winslow, Mudiay and Turner all got more 1st team votes than Russell. The hate is definitely real for Russell man. He deserved 1st team this year....no question about it. I hope he uses the 9th place ROY voting and 2nd team all rookie as motivation for next year and beyond.

I completely agree. Russ played pretty respectably from what I saw. He even had a 39 point game! He didn't deserve ROY but he should have been first team rookie. He shot himself in the foot. Hopefully, he will grow and learn from this.

I still don't understand that. He played one single game in his rookie year. It is kind of BS, in my opinon.

I get it honestly. If he'd broken his leg the last week of the pre-season, he would have been a rookie technically. Since he played an NBA game, it was against the rules. Tough, tough break.

    yeah that is really dumb

NBA should be like the NHL when it comes to rookie status. no more than 25 games in any season prior to the rookie season

Kinda absurd that Huertas received more rookie all-team votes than Randle.

I'm surprised there's not more comments on the midnight workout. I think that's awesome. I'm glad he's taking the "work hard" thing to heart and seems to be making that next level effort.

Randle wouldn't have received any because the league didn't consider Randle a rookie this last year.

...and there's the street fight Okafor found himself in. That makes three if off court transgressions had a part in the voting process.

Snitches get stitches. Hey was there ever any final explanation or possibility that DAR or anyone figured out how the clip actually made it to the internet? Was it the old hacked story or just had zero idea? So weird. If he did it intentionally then he deserves everything he has to overcome in the future now to his image in a locker room. Not nearly so bad if he was genuinely innocent of that .... just stupid as hell for recording it, telling Nick he did it and not deleting it right then and there.

I'd wager that he deleted it and thought it was gone but someone hacked his iCloud account and got it from there since pictures and videos aren't deleted for 30 days unless you permanently delete them
