To say Kobe carried a 2005/2006 Lakers roster that was mediocre to playoffs is putting it kindly. 47-35 record in a TOUGH west with a crap team (then with an arguably worse team in 06/07 at 42-40). If this Houston team doesn't make the playoffs with a roster that is unarguably better, if Harden can't get them there, especially with the ref love he gets, that's pathetic.

It's like he watched Kobe these last few years and thought a hobbled old Mamba was the template to being one of the greats. Pathetic really.

Kobe has never looked that pathetic but understand your point. Kobe's mind was in the game at least on defense. This clown loses his man constantly on the floor and really doesn't seem to give a s*** that it happened. Of course not, time to go down and play offense now ..... oh well. One fun thing about the highlights clips clowning his defense is they're so easy to follow with his stupid beard sticking out like it does. :ShaqOh2:

Kobe hasn't looked like that necessarily because he was actually trying when he was blown past. I love the guy and what he did for us, but lets call a spade a spade. Kobe was not a good defender his last couple years and especially last season. Him getting lost on defense was almost directly responsible for some of our blowouts!

Again: the reason its not as bad is because Harden CHOOSES to be like this... Kobe couldn't help it.

Yup. Kobe had a reason. He was old and just didn't have the speed in him anymore. Whereas harden is just a lazy butt.
