I didn't feel like digging through a thread to find the right one, but it'll fit here. Watch this tension filled, awkward grilling of Dwight Howard on TNT last night. This was pretty great.
I don't feel bad for him at all, I just find it deliciously awkward and I'm glad they called him out on television. He probably left that studio and chewed out his agent for putting him in that situation.
I watched an interview today that actually said they thought he was a sympathetic figure having to deal with James Harden People might buy that, until his next team has the exact same issues again....
well, i think anyone dealing with harden should be a sympathetic figure to some degree. i saw this coming from even before howard made his decision to go there. everyone thought it was such a good idea, but i was like...so you're going to play with a s***ty, stupid version of kobe? when you didn't like playing with kobe? and when you lose, it's going to be your fault, but when you win, it's going to be because of his scoring? good luck with all that. in other words, the main reason howard's not a sympathetic figure for me is that he should have foreseen this as well. he made his bed.
Just watched what went down there for the first time. I don't think it was really that much of a "grilling". Hell of a lot of good advice being given to him and important points about the remainder of his career that he needs a handle on. But back in the gym to "get himself right again" surely means more work on the weights and strength over improving all the technical holes in his game. He can listen to music and hit the weights, no thought involved. Not the same with the other. That's too much work of the type he's never liked.
