They're playing the Hawks big deal. The competition is so pathetic I can't put much stock into what they're doing. If they dominate Miami like this then I'll be a little impressed, but no I still don't see them beating a healthy Golden State team. Hell Golden State basically did what the Cavs are doing to the Hawks in January.
@Weezy I think they can win simply because GS and SA have to beat up on each other before going to the finals whereas the Cavs will play literally one legit team in the post-season (and hopefully it's the HEAT not the Raptors cuz we know the Raptors will choke)
Hawks are trash. They aren't even guarding the Cavs for 3/4 of their 3s. They gave up after the Cavs hit 4-5 3s.
People said that same thing a few years ago when LeBron played in Miami. The Spurs have to go through a brutal conference and LeBron is playing in a weak one and LeBron and co. still got pummeled why? Because they're facing a far superior team. Same would be the case this year.
I never buy the "beat 'em up" theory. Remember when we had to go through Sacramento? Remember when we had to go through San Antonio? Remember when Boston went to 7 games every series in 2008? Going through adversity makes you stronger. Great teams will find a way to win. I still think the Warriors are going back to back. And shame on the Hawks for the way they're playing. Shame.
What a joke. Every year its Lebron's team and then everyone else. Miami officially have lost Bosh for the rest of the season so theres that too.
Casey starting rookie Norman Powell again... against Dwyane Wade... in a playoff game. Dude is asking to get fired.
Lowry is awful! DeRozan isn't doing well, either but Lowry is just absolutely awful. His confidence is gone and it shows.
Lowry takes a DEEP stepback contested 3 with 10 or more seconds left in a tied game. lol what a joke Imagine if the Raptors' two main "stars" were shooting about 45% instead of 30% for the playoffs. They'd be coasting, since the rest of the team is doing well
Man, it's like Lowry and Derozan are allergic to playoff success. They won, but dang, 96-92 in OT, it's like a 90's Knicks score. Derozan 9-24 shooting, 2-8 on free throws, has he had a good game yet?
DDR can't even make FTs . Do the Raptors ever get a shot between 24 and 10 on the shot clock ? Their offense is pretty bad , takes forever to initiate , little weakside movement ... on some Boron light ish Iso Heat isn't good either . Both games going to OT doesn't alter the fact this is poor playoffs ball
It's a shame I think with Bosh the Heat could've given the Cavaliers all they wanted, but without him I don't see it. Just not enough offensive firepower. Miami has too much pride to get swept, but Cleveland will make the Finals with one loss at best.
DeRozan is shooting 33% in the playoffs including 16.7% from downtown. He has had ONE decent game and it was game 5 against Indiana. I was really hoping to see more from him with all this talk of him going to the Lakers. Oh well.
Valenchunas is their best player and being ignored most of the game. Lowry and Derozan chucking and laying bricks lol
Well hopefully DDR has lowered his asking price this summer with his abysmal playoff performance thus far.....he's young, and he will learn from this. He's not going to always be this bad in the playoffs. Hopefully Toronto fans boo him out of the stadium, and his teammates and coaches don't back him up...so that he feels so disrespected that he takes less $ to join us. Derozan has been bad, but it's a mental thing for him. He will get past it. It's his first time in the second round and he's learning and growing as we speak.
