We will never have a mascot as long as the Buss kids own the team, and if someone buys it from them one day and they're smart. We don't have mascots, we have legends and we have the Laker Girls. The closest thing to a mascot we have is the Chick Hearn statue in front of Staples and that's how it should he because he's a legend.

Aaaaaannnndddd...it's another year and it's back to square one.

The Clippers curse continues. They should have blown it up last year, but they decided to keep the crew together. Even before the injuries to Paul and Griffin, they were in the course of going down 2-2 after a 2-0 lead in the series.

With Biff and CP2's injuries, and Biff's odd behavior, it makes it more difficult to make the trades they would need to make to change their core lineup.

I'll just quote myself from almost a year ago. Replace "they blew it" with "the Clipper curse struck again", and most everything else stays relevant (except they did get rid of Barnes and Rivers played admirably as a backup PG). You don't need to be a prophet to see where the Clippers were headed, it is what they do.

Rivers has recently mused that when things aren't working out it may be time for changes. Well, it hasn't so it will be an interesting summer for them. My take is that they will be together for one more run and that could be it. It will not change given an even field. San Antonio is still San Antonio. Same with Golden State. Oklahoma City could be in a state of flux depending on Durant and Memphis will likely get their core back. Those factors contribute to another tough sledding.

Oh and let's not forget that the Lakers could potentially make some noise and steal their shine even if it was at best contrived.

Our darkest times and arguably Clippers' brightest in some time. And yet they still can't past the second round, can't match our ratings though they did get a little close, and obviously still ranks bottom in terms of LA sports hierarchy. We are on the up and up with our young core and Luke, their core is getting injured more and more. Best if they blow things up and get out of here.

Jordan should have stayed with his original decision.

The Clippers have an interesting decision to make this summer....with Cp3 and BG set to opt out of their contracts the following summer....is it time for the Clippers to break up the core and cash in on their assets much like Boston did with KG, Pierce and Rondo? Or do they go for it one more time and hope that DJ and BG both improve? I mean....I don't see a bright future for them at all....and it's wayyyyy too risky to let Cp3 and BG walk to other teams next summer and get nothing in return. I think Clippers need to be on the phone with the C Bags and get all those picks for Cp3 and BG plus a few of their young players (Sullinger, Crowder, Bradley, Smart, etc).

I don't think the clips can/should trade paul. griffin, on the other hand...I'd be testing the waters. I'm sure he has trade value still.

I think rivers said he doesn't intend to move any of those three. plus, I mean, they still haven't lost a second round playoff series when all three were healthy and the dew point was 62 or something like that.

I predict we can have a better record within two years.
