I really hope he recorded the meeting between Mitch and Byron. I'd love to see that awkward exchange.

That's just asking for trouble. Being photographed while asleep in bed and they're next to you (happened to a lot of young NFL players last season), lawsuits, rape accusations, etc. Not a good look, kids.

I don't care if they hook up with every girl (or boy I suppose) all over town, but STOP TALKING ABOUT IT. What is it about these kids and not understanding when to shut your damn mouths? No one needs to know these things.

It's almost like they're proud or bragging about it. I don't understand young athletes these days.

@therealdeal this is kinda why I see the Lakers parting with the young core. I know people don't want to give up Russell....but each time he opens his mouth...I'm closer and closer to being OK with us dealing him. I know it may not even be the best deal for us....but I just don't wanna deal with the immaturity for any longer. You guys are ATHLETES why would you need to DM girls?! You can go OUT and get way more play than you would "sliding in the DM's". Jesus christ. I know these guys are young but they aint THAT young and you can't be THIS dumb at age 19/20. I surely wasn't. God...eff twitter and instagram.

I'm not going to trade them just because of this, but it is disappointing. If this trend were to continue or if the Lakers caught wind of D'Angelo doing more stupid things then yes I'm okay trading him. You've got to take some of the bad with the good though and Lord knows 95% of these guys are doing this every night on the road.

Actually I'm more disappointed that the Lakers didn't give these kids enough positive influences to keep them out of this crap.

    Lol chill out old timers.

What they said is essentially the same as saying, "I like going out to clubs and getting phone numbers of attractive girls so that I can talk to them in private later."

Rich young athletes sleep around. It's just being facilitated through a different medium.

If anyone thinks this is a sign of immaturity and cause to trade them, you're gonna have to trade them for guys like Tim Duncan or something. Everything they said in that post are things that pretty much every player under 30 probably also does and have also expressed.

Did you guys read the actual article? Clarkson and Russell had each had like one small quote amongst a myriad of other star athletes discussing the same topic.

    What is "immature" about this?

People must have forgotten about how Magic, Worthy and Coop got down in the '80's. What these guys do is tame in comparison. Imagine if social media was around in the '80's?

Was going to say the same thing. The phrase "indiscriminately pumping chicks" comes to mind.

I was going to say this. On one hand it is lame and childish...and it seems to be happening a lot to our guys and not other young players. At the same time this is tame compared to the Hookers and Blow of the Showtime crew.

It doesn't really matter if there was twitter in the 80s.

You don't have to talk about stuff like this. Keep your nose down and stay out of trouble. In your private time, do your private stuff. I'm not ignorant of what these kids have at their disposal, any rational person can follow along. I'm just saying why talk about it? I want my kids following the Jeter example: have all the fun you want, but do it off the record.

This doesn't bother me to be honest. It's a specific story on how athletes date. Nothing really controversial about it in my opinion.

Where did all of the high quality Laker faithful character guys like Derek Fisher, Shaq, Kobe, and Lamar go to?
