Yeah...agreed. Nowadays, everyone celebrates every play. See it all over football much less basketball. Of course, you can't do such things in baseball unless you want a 100 mph fastball thrown at your grill.
I would think if ever there was a case for the players' union to fight a fine then this would be one. Has the big balls expression after doing something big and clutch been expressly spelled out as off limits to the players this year? If not, how was he to know when it has been around a long time and there is video proof out there with those guys not (for sure?) getting fined?
Dude cannot be trusted. He has destroyed the sacred trust that exists between teammates. This brotherhood is now fractured. Time to trade him.
I agree with lt. maybe it's not worth crusading about, but I'd like clarification on why randle got fined when I'm pretty sure others haven't been for the same act. maybe the league sent out a memo or something? I'm not saying the big balls dance is some sort of hallowed tradition that must be kept intact; it just seems sort of harmless. most 8-year olds know what balls are and are readily able to joke about them. as a parent, I'd say it's up to me to keep my child from emulating the pros in this fashion at their peewee game.
I'm not a fan of the dance, but it really does seem sort of harmless. Are there really that many out there that find it offensive and distasteful? I find it stupid, but not really offensive.
Fifteen THOUSAND dollars for that? Man the NBA is a joke, I thought commissioner Silver was supposed to make stuff better, not softer.
Full on Beast mode tonight. 20 and 10 on 7 for 11 and a couple sweet dimes! 34th Double Double on the year. At times like the end of the second quarter he just dominated everyone on the court. Had a nice coast to coast, made a step back in the lane, knocked down a bunch of free throws. His energy was contagious. Nice burst at the end of the game for a couple and ones and key boards. We almost got the W over the hated ones tonight.
