Same here. He's had a solid rookie campaign, though. I hope he finishes strong, healthy, and heads into the summer with confidence.

Same... but b0ron was my "main reason". I can't stand his dumb look on the sidelines.

Any decent coach would render this team immediately watchable, in my view.

Yeah. That's what I am hoping for.

He showed more than enough on the court for me to still feel really good about him especially once we get a real coach.

Well he's playing. Maybe he heard some of the "soft" chatter....

I know I said I'd hate to think of him being "soft" as he goes along if he can't play through an injury, but that was mainly me saying I hope if those Grizzlies or Nuggets games were playoff games or games with playoff implications, that he'd try to play through being hurt. I don't think he's soft though, as he usually plays the next game after injury, but I do think he's a bit of a drama queen. He just scares me with his reactions mainly, as I'd hate to see him get seriously injured.

He's a little soft, but a lot of young guys are. He's definitely a drama queen, but a lot of young guys are. I expect he'll grow out of both, I just hope it's sooner rather than later.

You're right Weez, he usually will play the next game after a minor injury, but he's going to make a big production out of it when it happens initially.

D'Angelo certainly doesn't shy away from the big moments, but physically he's got a weak core and a very low pain tolerance. Mentally he's a bit immature and a drama queen.

Julius took it like a man when he broke his leg. He always shows up to games and is more focused. Currently I like him better as our alpha.

Russ needs some hgh or something. He should be in the gym for the next few years at least 5 days a week.

DA's triples are up to 118, 20th best all-time for a rookie. He's five behind Nick the Quick and Brent Barry.

When does D'Angelo not show up to games? Yes the injuries are frustrating, but it's ridiculous to say he isn't focused or doesn't show up to the games. It's not like Julius doesn't have lapses especially on defense, it's not like he at times looks like he was going through the motions out there on both ends of the court, that's called growing process. Julius took it like a man? Okay so what Russell isn't a man just because he doesn't know how to deal with ankle injuries yet? That doesn't make any sense to me. Randle has dealt with injuries before that's why he fell in the draft. Russell has not. I don't see why either can't be an alpha, but I don't see the need to single one guy out as not being enough of a man and one has had less rookie mistakes than the other because really neither have. They've both had very rookie seasons with the protypical rookie up and downs.

The key word is "currently." You're right, Julius has lapses but D'Angelo is a bit ADHD. He is talented no doubt, but his focus is everywhere and needs to get his head straight. I feel he's well behind all of our young players in that regard. Seriously, you can't have a leader that's immature and video tapes private conversations. So for now, Julius seems like a better candidate as our alpha. D'Angelo may qualify in a few years. Just my observation.

D'Angelo has not been playing consistently well lately...

For a rookie, it seems like his head is not always in the game. He is interested in everything instead of just basketball. But that is the job of the coach to get him to that point and there is no chance Byron is the man to do it.

Wow. That was a bad game yesterday; the last 3-4 games he hasn't shot well. Yesterday, he wasn't into the game. The team wasn't and looks like it officially quit on Byron. That's not surprising, though. Everywhere Byron goes, he eventually wears out his welcome, the players tune him out, and as a result, it usually leads to his termination.

Either way, Russell is still shooting 37% from the 3-point line this month, so that's a good sign. His actual FG' percentage has trended back down at 40% and I don't know what his TS% is this month. He's the least of my worries, though.

i'm saddened by the quick dropoff from russell after it looked like things had clicked for him. and i don't care if your coach is incompetent; it's up to you to play hard and focused all the time.

hopefully, they took some notes when kobe decided to take rodney hood out of the game. don't take notes on the shot selection...but that's just good ol' fashioned accountability. somebody stop the bleeding--and this can happen aside from scoring.
