D'Angelo Russell Discussion: Adopting A Professional Attitude

Off topic from Emma and Lindsay looking both hot and ugly depending on when spotted, and certainly from D'Angelo Russell whose thread it is .... but Kelli Tennant is a "tall drink of water" and a cutie.

Jammed his pinkie left finger too as he kept holding it prior to the shin banging.

 

I thought Russ was on his way to another one of those great games that he had when he went on that great run of 20 point games. Just wasn't the same after banging knees. Smart to hold him out later tonight. This kid is our future. No need to risk it. Needs to strength his core strength in his legs. Don't want him becoming Anthony Davis (in terms of injuries).

 

Russell back in the lineup tonight.

 

D'Angelo missed some very makeable shots early on. Got hot in the fourth. Would've liked to see more aggression in the last three minutes, but also part of that is Kobe being in there. Can't expect a 20 year old kid to wave off a legend. I thought his defense was really good. Just anticipating passes and using his length to get some steals. Some good help rotations. Would've liked to see him more on Booker. Also this pass from half court to Larry was just beautiful. I saw him do this stuff in college and this is why I wanted the kid in the draft. You cannot teach that kind of vision, but the difference between him and Huertas is he doesn't telegraph or get caught in the air.

 

had to go to bed after watching the first quarter, so I'm glad Russell picked it up (he was way off at the beginning, missing several easy shots).

re: the clip above, it baffles me that he can't get more than 3 assists a night. I know some of this is Byron and some of this is pretty bad teammates, but you'd figure a guy with this kind of vision and coordination could find a few more guys for buckets.

 

We don't give him the ball enough. When D'Angelo is actually initiating things the offense runs a lot smoother. Too often it's Kobe, JC, or Julius trying to initate things and we usually end up with a contested jump shot.

 

i hope that's it. i thought he had put the shooting issues behind him.

 

Yeah there must be something bothering him.... some of his misses have been really bad.
