making vulgar gestures and comments to a 68 year old woman? really?

obviously, the identity of one of the victims makes this an odd case, but the fact that there's even an opening here is pretty embarrassing. who does this as a pro athlete? you're highly visible. if you want to do lewd things with women, I'm guessing you can make that happen, with their enthusiastic consent. no need to solicit old women at intersections.

I have to believe her and the way she said in the article how: "I'm not special. This is happening to women everywhere," Jones said. "I'm not here to shame them. That's the last thing I want to do ... I don't want to crucify them. I want to use it as an opportunity to change behavior."

Makes me think they were up to some no good. May this be a learning experience for both of them. Last thing I want his Clarkson picking up bad habits when he's more than likely going to be with this organization long term.

How can you actually draw any conclusion from that report?

It's LITERALLY a he-said-she-said argument and all she has to go on is her camera phone. I don't know Nick and Jordan personally, but I find it strange that either of them would be making lewd jokes towards an elderly female when both of them have literal superstars as spouses. You're telling me at 7:30 PM on a Sunday the Lakers are cruising the streets looking to harass elderly women? Really?

The one and only way this is true to me is if the two of them made a passing joke like "what's up girl?" to these women as a (in their opinion) funny, colloquial thing in which case they may have accidentally offended someone. I can see that happening, but if that's all it was then I'm not all that upset about it. These players have been here for years now and while Nick's name comes up occasionally for being in the club with shady individuals, there have been very few actual issues with these guys. I think they're both decent character guys at least.

I'll wait to pass judgement. We don't know the story from either angle in its entirety.

As I've learned from watching the latest 30 for 30 "Fantastic Lies" I will agree with you and reserve judgement. But where are Nick Young and Clarkson on this. Are they going to deny this or what? I mean if John Black and the Lakers are that serious about this investigation I'd be curious to get our players thoughts.

Well, there is an instagram photo of them laughing and looking at the camera. These cases aren't about character. Decent humans do stupid s*** when they're in some situations. Do I believe that young, wealthy guys might do something like this as a joke? Sure. And I'm much more likely to believe it when there's a report and pics to go along with it. What I believe isn't enough to do anything about the situation, but I'm interested to see how JC handles it. I predict he (not just Black) issues an apology.

That might be DA in the red hoodie. Don't know who the laughing dude is, but here they are, from Nick's instagram:

@trodgers what does a picture of them laughing in a car actually prove though? It means nothing. If they'd been doing something obscene in those pictures, that's one thing but what I see is just guys in a car. There's no reasonable conclusion to be drawn except that someone pulled up next to a group of Lakers in a Jeep and took a picture.

If the caption had said, "Hey look I pulled up next to the Lakers at a stoplight!!! #golakers !" I wouldn't be shocked at all. It just looks like a picture.

Maybe she fabricated it. Maybe they did exactly what she said.

If her accusation doesn't tilt the scale in favor of her story, I wonder what would. Her version of what happened plus the picture is some evidence. Evidence can be overcome, but you mean to tell me that you think that it's more likely a fabrication than not? Given what I know about reporting of crimes against women, I'll stay with precisely what I said.

I am personally inclined to believe her. I also believe that we'll hear more. If she presses, I'll be more convinced. If she retracts, I'll be less likely to believe. I don't think it meets any legal standard, but this isn't a legal question, as far as I know.

You think it's absurdly unlikely that a carful of young guys partying (it was Nick's son's bday) laughing at someone snapping a pic along with the report from the woman doesn't count for something? This is a classic case: woman makes an accusation. Dudes respond, "She has an agenda." Of course she does. We all do. You included.

Who believes they cut her off?

Now, who believes she flipped them off?

Now, who believes they made obscene gestures?

    Can't wait for the narratives.

IMO the situation sounds incredibly stupid. I feel like both sides are in the wrong and if the woman is so distraught over the situation, post the video. She said she filmed it. What are you waiting for? If it's that big of a deal she's posting IG pics and long narratives of the story, post the video. Otherwise this situation is pointless.

To answer your questions, Yes to all of them. I'm waiting for the video because right now it's he said she said. She's already put herself in the position to make it national attention, she can't back away now.

What if she did it because she's sick of it and wants to educate them? Like she said.

I'm making no judgements here, everyone could be at fault, just the guys could be at fault, just the woman, I have no clue, but I'll post stuff as it goes along. As usual, social media is a place for people to vent, have instant reactions, and act like animals. To some they're instantly guilty and need to apologize, some are sticking up for him because he's a Laker, I saw one guy say he's following in Kobe's footsteps, which I assume means "sexual assault". It's a sad world we live in

I find it extremely funny how this woman says "help me find who these men are" on her Twitter, yet she follows Swaggy/Clarkson/Russell & other NBA athletes on Instagram...does she snap a photo of every man who is a dog to her and asks for Twitter's help on who these men are? This woman took a pic of them & quickly saw her chance at fame being an activist.

I can take a photo of a celebrity too & write whatever I want on a caption, show the video you claim to have then I'll believe you...no need not post it if you really want to teach them a lesson right?

But is it that simple? Was she following them on Instagram first, or did she make this post, and someone in the comments identified them, then she went back and edited the post and tagged them and followed them? In her original post she does not name them, she says she will find out who they are by posting the pic, which apparently happened through the comments or maybe even a private message.

But we don't know what they did for an absolute fact, that's my point. That's why I want to see the video. How many of these cases do we see with women and athletes? The attention seeking, wanting money liars have made it incredibly difficult to believe the true cases out there. That's the sad world we live in, but it's the truth. I don't know this woman, just like I don't know these guys off the court, so I won't pick sides until I see the video. Until then, they can ping pong stories back n forth from both sides.

My point is not that she's lying and that our guys are saints.

My point is we have no idea what happened and I'm not inclined to believe any story until I know more information. Everyone is innocent until proven guilty, right? Well right now there's just an accusation with no proof besides a picture. I'm not inclined to believe her. I'm not inclined to believe anyone in a situation like this.

If it played out the way that source said, then they're all idiots.
