Sadly, an ex-Showtimer has become our worst coach of ALL time. Ugh. This guy needs to go as soon as this awful season is done. I don't want this guy anywhere near our young core next year.

For a team so young we play at a snails pace. The week where we looked really good we were running and getting easy baskets.

But of course doesn't help when we have a bunch of slow players and ball stoppers playing 35 mins a game while our young guys play 20.

What a jacka** of a coach we have. Hasn't Mitch been scouting overseas for these recent 4th quarter benchings of our young guys? I wonder if he just got back and suddenly the young guys are going to finish games "no matter what". Hmm...

Haha. Someone got sent to the principals office again. Pretty bad when our head coach is treated like a teenager.

You know damn well he got a scolding. What an embarrassment to have to put up with this. I'm so jealous of teams with good coaches that don't have to put up with this s***.

This sounds like another call down from management to play the young guys no matter what. I can see Mitch calling from oversees while he's trying to scout players, "Byron, what is going on here? Play the darn rookies and young guns, let them learn while the season is already in the toilet".

Unfortunately that's just in the fourth quarter. Doesn't say he has to play them the whole quarter. He can and probably will still pull his put them back in with five left BS after yanking them after five or six minutes.

Just checking the thread...Yep. It appears Byron is still our coach. Perhaps our salvation will come tomorrow.

Wow those Cleveland picks 2011 - 2014 let you know something's rotten out there in anti-Laker land. Gilbert cried the blues and led the charge about the CP3 trade to the Lakers and what are the odds of him then landing 3 #1s and a #4 in 4 years. I hope they are in penalty tax hell for years with NO titles ever to show for their deal with the Devil .... errrr .....Kang.

I was just sure that it was over
That this was Byron's last coaching gig
But if you can guarantee your team a lottery pick
Teams will hire him to lose REAL big

Oh yeah, somebody got talked to here. He went from "they can learn while watching on the bench" to "they'll play the 4th quarter no matter what" in a matter of days. Mitch gets back from scouting Bender, and suddenly it's time for the young guys to play through their mistakes, and to stop wasting our future's development on the bench like we've been screaming about. I don't see how B0ron is brought back next season when stuff like this happens, he can't be. Please?

I don't understand Byron's coaching style when it comes to young players. Tough love is fine, but he goes overboard. He didn't play Clarkson last year for months despite the fact that there was no way we were making the playoffs. What exactly is he trying to prove?
