Classic Byron. Don't do it over the break. Do it in one day before a game.

Honestly, I thought they actually did look a little bit better out there offensively but only when Russell was out there running the show. I'm all for it even at this late point in the season. The straight iso with no creativity was not working.

I'll put it this way, any offense that puts the ball back into Russell's hands, gets away from the Princeton which wasn't working and the infinite number of iso's is a welcome improvement in my book. I like that at least with this move Boron is coming closer to acknowledging that DLO should be the PG, Clarkson the SG, and this puts Lou back in sixth man role/position. It actually makes sense which is more than I can say for anything Boron has done thus far all season long.

What a ridiculous excuse for a coach. Seriously.

You implement a new offense a day before a game with 6 weeks left in the season? For what? What purpose? To win games? Changing your offense this late in the season is going to instill a ton of confidence on the floor I'm sure. To develop the kids? Then why do it so late? This makes no sense. It's just an admission that his offense is garbage.

This guy is a lame duck coach and I can't wait until he's fired.

Yeah. No kidding. What did they do in the 3 or 4 days after All Star Weekend??? Clown coach. Oh that's right .... Boron was still jerking Russell around saying he was going to start at some point "soon" but wasn't sure when. Until someone from the FO finally must have gotten in his face.

You can just tell Russell has had it up to "here" with this coach, and senses his demise is coming soon. There were reports someone mentioned here that right around that time both Russell and Randle's agents went to the FO and wanted to know what the hell was going on. I expected that to happen at some point. So that's why no new offense initiated over the break. Boron was still jerking with Russell.

"We had a whole new offense thrown at us yesterday," Lakers rookie point guard D'Angelo Russell said after Friday's game. "Coach [Byron Scott] was demanding we run it. It was kind of tough because we didn't really get to run it against defense. We just talked about it, threw it in and then played with it. I feel like it's a great offense, but it was kind of thrown at us."

I bet Scott was tickled to read that quote. Payback with comments to the media is a b**** Boron.

You can't blame him. He was anxious to go to Mexico and play golf.

For what? When you're playing 2k17 from your couch? Because you're sure as hell never getting another basketball coaching job. Not here. Not in Iceland.

I wouldn't hire him to coach a junior high school basketball team.
