As I mentioned, all Bird wanted was a 2nd round pick for Hibbert and now we know why...Hibbert is quickly becoming a dinosaur in a league that's changing very quickly. He can still be useful but in a more limited role. I prefer to let him walk in the offseason opting to go in a different direction.

    Hmmm Chicago?
Noah is pretty much out for season, Pau is playing with a sore shoulder and sore Achilles. Bobby Portis is good but still just a rookie, Gibson is good but not for long stretches at center. Hmmmm...

I didn't see the game, but 2 points and 1 rebound in 16 mins? Really? He should be benched or traded for a 3rd round pick and cash paid out by us. His numbers are pathetic this season, if you couldn't prove to me he'd been an All-Star before I'd call you a liar if you claimed it.

I'm just not even sure what to make of Roy anymore... I do like him, but it really feels like the game has moved him by.

I like Roy as a teammate, cheerleader and his professional demeanor but we are not a good team matchup for him. He doesn't have any impact on the game and is slow as a glacier. I wanted to bring him back if he was cheap and wiling to come off the bench next year. Now I'm even questioning that.

Lately he's been having so little impact. Sad to see because I do like him. But watching Bass and Black in together I feel like we are better with Roy off the floor.

Are we going to see Black/Randle/Swaggy/Clarkson/Russell at ANY point this season. That's probably our best all around lineup yet it hasn't been on the floor together once that I can remember.

Always liked him but at the same time i said he's a scrub and wasn't too happy when we signed him. He had one good playoff series and that's it.

Too little grit in that lineup for Byrons taste.

That lineup is not in their top 20 lineups this season, so I can't find stats on them.

I'd say having Kobe at the 3 is probably still our best lineup there. Kobe at the moment is better than a beaten down Nick Young.

I'd love to see that lineup though. I'd like to see us with our most dynamic players on the floor.

Roy is a nice guy. I am a nice guy, neither of us deserve a place on the Lakers' starting lineup. I can only see Kobe's recent praise of Tariq as a knock on Roy meets world.

Roy is the perfect center in the right situation. Unfortunately that would be back with the Minneapolis Lakers pre-Wilt pre-Kareem, pre-Russell. He is like an arthritic diplodocus trying to graze on buckets in a league full of velociraptors. Chris Bosh evolved unfortunately big Roy just wont ever get that dap from Kobe. He is just a lighter shade of Kwame Brown to him. And seriously those two rebound games? There should be a clause to tear up his contract whenever that happens.

Come on now. Kobe >> Swaggy. Neither one usually, aside from Kobe's 37 year old masterpiece against MN last night, can sustain excellent play for a whole game, with Kobe having edge on offense and Nick probably for "longer" stretches .......on defense. (?) They can both get cold and have to keep chucking because that's their game. Kobe brings more even at 37, I think.

I'd love to see that lineup. An actual mobile center (not a PF at C like Bass) together with our most active and talented young guys. Count me in.

Honestly I think the buyout scenario for Roy is a good one. I hate to say this but with his recent absence I actually feel like we play better without him. He just really kills us in that staring lineup. Great guy, great teammate but just did not work out for us unfortunately. Buying him out would give him the potential to get picked up by a playoff team and helps us develop Tarik Black if Boron will actually play him.

Cutting Roy just means more minutes for Rob Sacre and we all know it... :(

It MIGHT not mean that. Black's minutes have picked up significantly recently.

In 2016 calendar year, Black has played 3-4 times as many minutes as Bob.
