Sorry I meant the media group he's referring too. Do they have some kind of connection to the Lakers?

They're an agency. No connection necessarily, but I'm sure they've dealt with the Lakers before.

They're one of the largest sports talent management agencies in the world. They represent over $1 billion in salaries in the NBA alone. They're also based in Los Angeles.

Wasserman represents Anthony Davis, Kenneth Faried, Russell Westbrook, Pau and Marc Gasol, Book and Robin Lopez, Al Hoford, Draymond Green, and Derrick Rose along with a ton of other lesser name guys.

Golden State assistant Luke Walton is closest to a legitimately coveted candidate with ties to Jackson and the triangle – and he's still largely unproven, too. Walton intrigues Jackson, but truth be told: Why would Walton come East without an assurance Jackson is committed to the long run in New York? There's still a strong belief Jackson will eventually find his way to his fiancée Jeanie Buss and the Los Angeles Lakers. Walton will be competing with Thibodeau for the Lakers job in the spring, and who knows: Jackson and Walton could be reunited there.

Walton is a West Coast guy, the way his boss, Steve Kerr, is too. Kerr turned down Jackson and New York, because he had far more attractive choices. Porzingis makes the Knicks job intriguing in the long run, but make no mistake: One way or another, Jackson will be gone before the next Knicks coach has cycled through New York. To think the next Knicks president/GM – Steve Mills or Isaiah Thomas – will stay true to the triangle is absurd, and so hiring one more triangle coach is almost guaranteeing him Fisher's fate.

    Game. Over.

Then if we played the Warriors and their "Small Lineup" We could also go small with:

    C- Randle
    PF- Durant
    SF- Westbrook
    SG- Clarkson
    PG- Russell

And switch everything on defense just like they do to be effective.

I'd pay good money to watch a full game of that line up vs. Draymond, Iggy, Barnes, Klay, Curry

This was pathetic. Worthy, Green, and Cooper all tarnish their own names to keep their buddy happy.

Let me tell you, I've been through the fire with some of my friends and if they're f***ing up, I'll be the first to tell them. That's part of what a good friend does. You can be constructive with criticism. And to protect him so vehemently while you bash people with similar, even better, production? That's pathetic.

Completely agree. I mean they don't have to put him down. They can criticize him in a way that doesn't strip away his dignity. I always thought we had some of the most unbiased team coverage in the league but that's just gone down the crapper since Boron came aboard. Stu Lantz is probably the only one in the squad who keeps it somewhat real.

I get trying to protect your own and we were all sold on Byron's connection to the past and our Showtime glory, but Byron has been FLAILING. Just absolutely horrible without question this year. Last season he got a pass because at least we were playing hard with Kobe out and a lousy roster. But this year? No such pass. He's done worse with less, he has not reeled Kobe in nor truly limited his minutes, he has ignored and misused players with his absurd rotations (Tarik Black and Brandon Bass being prime examples, using Lou as a starter when he is a sixth man of the year last season, and to a lesser extent not playing Nick Young), and he has really jerked around our young core players with the arbitrary benching and short minutes for Randle and Russell.

Call it like it is . . . Byron has completely, flat out sucked. Thank you Don McLean for finally saying publicly what many of us were thinking.

I get it as well, they don't want to "hate" on him or whatever. But like you said, they can still critique the coaching, the system we run, or the mistakes being made FROM coaching, and they don't. It's always what the players are doing wrong. When B0ron was on the TWCSN team he criticized 'Antoni all the time, talking about what he'd do different, that's what these guys get paid to do. But apparently Access SportsNet has become about putting on a good face, reading happy fan tweets, trotting out Clown Miller to distract us with basic stuff. I don't even know, it's all a distraction from the real problem.

How much do we need to raise on kickstarter for the cartels to keep him down there?

So, I guess I missed what John Ireland said the other day: 'There are people in the FO that want to give Byron another shot next year and see what he can do without Kobe.' So, in the event that this happens, will you guys still watch next year if Byron is the coach?

I will, but I'm a glutton for punishment.

The FO should be crucified mercilessly if that happens. From the fan base and entire NBA media world. Doesn't answer your question I know.
