He's a lot better than he's showing thus far in this quote unquote system (LOL). I would like to see him utilized a bit better. Just don't think it will happen under Boron. Some games he's shown some very solid moves, but lately he's been underwhelming on O.

I don't know, I'm not sure we can blame this on a lack of a "system". I think Hibbert just isn't very assertive. He has offensive skills but he's just one of those guys whose prone to go invisible on the offensive end. I'm staring to have second thoughts on whether or not we should re-sign him. He seems like a good teammate, and he's an adequate defensive center and rim protector. But he still has issues on that end (see Demarcus Cousins absolutely eating him up yesterday) and he's usually a non-factor on offense. Do we want to tie up the money and starting position on Hibbert long term? Depending on how things go this off-season, I'd almost rather let him walk. And even if there isn't a star center on the market to replace him, I'd rather roll the dice on someone like Tarik for a while and wait before we lock up another center.

I hear you HJ. He's sometimes just non-existent on offense and yes his lack of mobility is a problem on both sides of the ball. I'm on the fence with Hibby. I like him, but man if we could get a guy like Whiteside or Horford, I'd take them over Roy.

Good guy but I did not know he was THIS slow... Horford or Pachulia would be an upgrade.

He's just not a good fit for our team. I don't want him back. We need 2 mobile bigs that can finish in pick in roll, protect the rim, and finish around the basket, and catch a freaking pass!

Boogie is so much more mobile & aggressive than Hibbert, that was evident. Two different planes of talent. I think with the way the NBA is going on size (particularly bulkiness) we may be better to move on from Hibbert this summer even on an 8-9 mil contract which is about what I expect him to get.

Russ will be a dominant guard, I can already see it. With that, we need a big that can set a screen, roll hard, and finish. It'll open up everything for Russ.

I think Horford would be perfect with him. A guy who can pick and pop, or pick and roll with the best of them. He's also mobile enough on D

He needs a SF who can shoot the three as well.

The cool news is there's two guys who fit those descriptions to a tee: Whiteside and Batum. They're both available too if you make a move for them right away. Not to mention they'd have a couple bucks left over I believe after signing both of them.

Then figure out the new contracts of Black and Clarkson and baby you've got a stew going.

I'm all for that plan, unfortunately we'll be wasting a couple days on KD.

Wasting a couple of days on KD isn't the worst thing we could do. If they don't win it all, I could see him looking over at Westbrook and thinking, "This dude's really ball dominant, and we're ridden this thing about as far as it's going to go. I'ma roll to LA with that young core."

    Russell/Vasquez
    Clarkson/Williams/Rookie Suckah
    Durant/Young/Brown
    Randle/Nance/Kelly
    Whiteside/Black/Upshaw

    We can dream.

I mean Durant is really a perfect, perfect fit. The problem is he's probably a year or two too soon for us. He'd be taking quite a leap of faith.

The best chance we have is to sign someone else with the other max slot that makes us even more interesting and more competitive. Then we go to Durant and say "See? We have four young, cost-controlled studs AND we have Whiteside or Horford or something".

Whiteside and Bosh for Hibbert and Julius + anyone not named Jordan or D'angelo. Would you do it? (I know it doesn't work, money, blablabla ;) Just want to know your opinion).

I think what we are finding out is that Frank Vogul, a decent head coach in the NBA, knew what was up.

Us thinking the almighty Byron Scott could resurrect Hibbert's career? [IMG]

No just because Whiteside could walk this summer.

I'd rather take my chances straight up stealing Whiteside first.

I'd like to think we learned our lesson on Dwight Howard. Besides, why would you bring him here now and make him deal with Byron when he could have a better coach this offseason.... and we'd have a better chance of him wanting to sign vs not wanting to re-sign.

Wait. Who are we comparing to Howard? There was a body of "work" with Howard that demonstrated that he had a loser's mentality.

Signing someone is the last year of their deal, sending out assets, assuming you will be able to resign them.

I'm saying I think this would be bad timing to get rid of some of our talent when we have no guarantee he will resign.

    Know what I'm sayin....
