Byron is the guy who is "fried." I just wish I could switch the letters around and he could be "fired."

Need a new voice in that locker room. Players have tuned Byron out.

I'm losing it guys, we watch every game expecting something to change and it doesn't. Isn't that the definition of insanity?

Byron needs to go, yesterday would have been great. I honestly wish we got destroyed by the Clips on Friday and be booed out of our floor. Maybe then that would have forced the FO hand. The players don't deserve this and the fans don't deserve this crap either.

I've said it before but I think I'm done watching for now. If someone could let me know the next time we don't get down double digits in the first 6 minutes of the game and/or give up 30+ in the 1st quarter, maybe I'll start watching again.

I swear, everytime Byron gets a close up on television I just feel this intense feeling of rage.. I just plain don't like him being our coach... seriously, its bad.

Players have turned on him...like they did at every freaking coaching job he's had. Sometimes it's fun to say "I told you so." But this isn't one of those times. The fact that I was right when I was screaming NOOOOOOO when we hired Byron makes this crap that much worse. It holds no consolation. It just means that me, a dude who played soccer his whole life, is a better evaluator of basketball coaches than the front office of the Lakers.

Usually the first year a new coach takes over there is some excitement from the new blood, new system, hopefully more tailored to the players then the one the previously coached (who was likely fired).

This is a scary stat on BS if you see his first year win average compared to the team's previous year:

    NJN .378 to .317
    NOH .500 to .220
    CLE .743 to .231
    LAL .329 to .256

.236 drop on average, even if you take CLE out of the picture due to LBJ leaving, it's a .143 drop in wins on mostly struggling teams. That is a glaringly bad stat.

Boron doesn't know how to coach. He is a glorified PE teacher.

I posted some pretty extensive stats about how he wasn't that good in the rebuilding process. Even after the first year, it's not good.

Let's check in on Byron Scott and his team....

Record vs playoff teams - 0-16
    - Pts for 89.2
    - Pts against 106.4
    - Net - -17.2
    - Not just getting beat by playoff teams, we are getting DESTROYED
    - Last year 8-38 vs playoff teams
    - Under MDA* - 11-35 vs playoff teams

Record vs Western conference - 1-17
    - Pts for 95.7
    - Pts against 112.2
    - Net - -16.5
    - Not just getting beat by the western conference, we are getting DESTROYED
    - Last year 9-43 vs WC
    - Under MDA* - 15-37 vs WC

Record vs Eastern conference - 4-9
    - Pts for 96.9
    - Pts against 100.6
    - Net - -3.7
    - It might look like we are doing good, but we are 0-6 vs EC playoff teams getting beat by 8.7 PPG
    - Yay we are 4-3 vs. the bottom teams in the Eastern conference (Nothing to be proud of)
    - Last year 12-18 vs EC
    - Under MDA* - 12-18 vs EC

*2013-2014 season - If you need to look at that roster, have a trash can next to you for the eventual vomit after seeing it.

Better team, worse results. We aren't getting any better folks. Can't even get a win over a playoff team and our only win in the conference is Denver blowing a 20+ lead.

I watched the first half last night and shut it off (Right decision looking at the score). Offense is just standing around watching one guy hold the ball for 10 seconds ending in an ISO. I see postgame comments blaming the players saying they don't trust the coaches, they are fried, etc. Just pathetic and not worth tuning in for.

But we beat the team that beat the unbeaten team, so with Byron math, we're practically the best team in basketball if the players would just man up and trust the system.

Good sleuthing, @Doc Brown . Puts into perspective how damn miserable we are.

    Sagarin's NBA Ratings:
    2015-16: 81.68, 29th of 30. Vs. top 10: 0-10. vs. Top 16: 2-14.

    2014-15: 83.70, 27th of 30. Vs. top 10: 5-27. vs. top 16: 8-40.

    2013-14: 84.76, 25th of 30. vs. top 10: 8-28. vs. top 16: 11-39.

    2012-13: 90.45, 13th of 30. vs. top 10: 11-25. vs. top 16: 19-30.

    2011-12: 94.97, 5th of 30. vs. top 10: 12-17. vs. top 16: 32-22.

Let that sink in. We fell from 5th to 29th in four years. We went from winning about 40% of our games vs. top 10 teams to losing 32 of our last 37. We went from beating playoff teams 60% of the time to losing 46 of our last 56 (18 win%).

Comparing Byron to a glorified PE teacher is the most appropriate and accurate thing I've heard so far.

Honestly, I don't see it getting any better until he stops benching the rookies and just lets them play like he did with Clarkson. It doesn't mean we'll get a lot more wins, because from what we've seen of his coaching that just isn't happening, period. But it will at least help develop the rookies and at the same time give us a fighting chance. By giving so many of Russell's and Randle's minutes away we aren't accomplishing any of our goals - we're not developing our young core (they are barely playing with Clarkson) and we're not winning games. As many have said, those two goals aren't even mutually exclusive as playing our most talented players gives us our best chance to win games.

Once again this all seems so glaringly obvious that I have to wonder if they (meaning FO and coach) are not doing this deliberately to keep their pick. It's just too stupid otherwise. The losing makes us undesirable to top tier free agents, and not playing the young guys handicaps us every game as well as limiting their development. And yet the FO could just tell Byron to stop messing around, or fire him. But they won't do either.
