Rondo, come on man. NBA referee Bill Kennedy reveals he is gay; Rajon Rondo alleged to have made slur to him http://sports.yahoo.com/news/nba-re...alleged-homosexual-slur-to-him-174255321.html
Last year, James Harden started putting some effort on defense. This year, he's back to his normal self, and here's just the latest demonstration of his world-renowned defense: After several loops, I finally realized that Harden is actually nowhere to be seen. Rockets are literally playing 4 on 5 on defense. So what's the context? Where is Harden? The reason Harden wasn't on defense was because he threw up a layup that was completely off (most likely trying to draw a foul) and decided to continue jogging to the 20th row rather than stopping and running back on defense.
That's why it's hard for me to consider Harden a true superstar. He doesn't even try on defense. Guys like Steve Nash were awful defenders, but it wasn't a lack of effort on his part. That's just bad leadership too. How do you think those players look at him when he doesn't even get back in transition?
I don't actually think harden was much better on d last year. the rockets were just winning more, and people wanted to construct an mvp narrative for him. basically nothing has changed with him or his game over time save for the ever-escalating FTAs.
I would hate playing with him. Hogs the ball, never plays D, gets mad when you don't cover his man for him.
I've seen so many videos similar to this if Harden this year, even the rockets announcers are ripping him, too funny.
He has solid assist numbers. If he had Kobe's work ethic and drive, Harden would be a Top 3 player in the NBA right now. Instead he's got Shaq drive and wants to go out and party every night.
The NBA Lowlights aka the James Harden thread I have a feeling there will be plenty of James Harden featured here.
They talked about this on Highly Questionable yesterday, and pointed out that surprisingly, it isn't new. There's vidoes of LeBron doing this same "defense" years and years back, very odd.
It's a playground move. Slightly distracting and it gets you automatically on a fastbreak. Kind of silly and immature for a player of his caliber.
