As bad as we've been, they've been worse the last three years. That's saying something.

Heck from a professional standpoint it's awful. These young men have their careers derailed by horrid management.

    Reward these guys? No way.

Had a pretty good start to the quarter and then b0ron strikes with his fantastic rotations.

Can't believe I'm saying this, but I ***ing hate this guy.

everyone here is high on luke, and i'm not saying you're wrong for that.

but if you head over to any gsw forums, they hate him almost half as much as we hate byron.

i think we're being too quick to judge luke. gifted a championship roster, which is now one of the best teams in nba history, with a great system already implemented. not sure what great coaching he's done besides maybe apply some common sense. just playing devils advocate here folks

I can't say I'm on the Luke train either. I'm not against him in general, just don't know how he would do with a team he needs to build. GSW were "gifted" to him. That team kind of runs itself.

Again, anybody who you hire is going to be imperfect. As far as GS forums go, and fans complaining, fans criticized Phil Jackson as well.

Luke gets no credit? Seriously? Same old tired argument we hear for all coaches who have success with supremely talented rosters? Who's getting them prepared to play every night? Who's making sure they're running the offense? Who's making sure they're in tune defensively? Who's making sure they stay motivated? Give me Luke Walton over Byron Scott any day of the week. Scott has a talented roster and he's won three f***ing games. Get him out of here.

They need to start eating. Getting rid of the nameless one now would at least let us know that the front office is not completely incompetent and can see what we see. Madsen running the sideline enthusiastically and building up the young guys is a huge upswing even if we do not win anymore games. Most importantly, it lets the young guns know there is change coming. The hate and rage everyone is feeling will be diminished and we can just watch our players develop. Many teams are going to be looking at Luke as a head coach. We can make it known now that he is our choice. This is the perfect situation for a young coach to come into. Latitude will be given, anything he does will be considered a huge improvement, great young talent, money to spend, the fans want Luke here. How popular and set would Luke be if brought a winning culture back to L.A.?? The meeting they need is to meet him at the airport with his bags packed.

With our coach their record would be much worse. Luke needs experience, he can get that growing with our young guns. Common sense is one of the most important aspects of coaching. With common sense we would have many more wins and we wouldn't already be talking about draft picks and next season.

At least Luke is young and can some what relate to the guys.

Byron is stubbornly old school, which does not fit with the current make up of this team.

Agreed. There is no perfect coach.

But if we want a guy who could effectively utilize guys like Russell and Clarkson together I think Luke fits the bill.

There are a few other guys out there that I could behind that we've already thrown out there like Atkinson, Lue, etc.

I'd say Pop is as close as you can get to the perfect coach. Good on both sides of the ball, adapts his style of play to his personel and changes in the NBA. Holds everyone accountable, commands respect, but can still relate to his players.

Knows how to groom coaches and how to pick them (they became the farmhouse for NBA coaching). Is no-nonsense with media and is a funny guy.

Below is IMO THE funniest-cleverest thing to ever happen in the NBA:

No doubt, Pop is one of the greatest of all time. His understanding of his players, the consistently outstanding ball he has them playing . . . you can't argue with the results which are two decades of the highest level NBA basketball. It's kind of unreal how well how he has coached and how well managed the Spurs are. For years they were the enemy so I had a hard time acknowledging and applauding them. But Pop and the Spurs have been superb for 20 years. That's pretty insane.

Another guy who coached the enemy that I have a ton of respect for is Chuck Daly. I thought he was a phenomenal coach. Before we got Phil, I was lobbying hard for us to get him. He always seemed to like our Nick Van Exel, Eddie Jones led squad when he worked the national broadcasts. I thought he would have been the perfect coach when we landed Kobe and Shaq. His relationship with players would have been terrific with that crew. He would have worked well with Nick the Quick, especially. He would have known how to harness his fiery attitude.
