Seriously, why the hell doesn't Hibbert shoot that, Russell had him wide open and He doesn't even look at the hoop til he's guarded. Huertas should have too, but he seems scared to shoot, where Hibbert seems like he's been instructed not to or something.

Wasn't it in preseason where we saw pretty good chemistry between Russell and Black?

My wife does our taxes. :)

I just do a job I love and see that there's money in my account. I'm happy with that.

It's one of the things I like about Hibbert - he doesn't need plays run for him to be fully happy in his role, but he's a bit too passive. We need a player a bit more like Tyson Chandler, who's essentially Hibbert + willing to PNR.

Hibbert can't catch. He's never been a great roll man. His finishing ability around the rim for a guy his size is embarrassing. We need to upgrade that part of our roster next year..

D'Angelo hasn't been looking 19 years old the last couple of games.

Putting up 24/6/6 against NBA talent as a rookie is something. We might have picked up a little something something in #1

Yep in today's game especially you can't have a starting center that can't do any of the following. Roll, finish, defend screen and roll, run the floor, and catch.

I've been saying for a while that he's probably not a pure/traditional point guard. His shooting is elite and has a multi-dimensional skillset. He's also bigger than most PG's, so it'll be a waste to play him like CP3. He's much more capable. I don't think traditional PG's are valued as much as they were in the 90's anyway. When's the last time a team with their best player as a pure point guard won a title? The Lakers with Magic?

I think the scouting report was right. He's simply the best basketball player in this draft class. He will develop into a player that does everything at an elite level, much like a Lebron, Brandon Roy, Curry, or Harden (with defense)

We don't need to make a move for a pick and roll big. We have one he's just been inactive the last 5 games for reasons.

Agree on this. His recent scoring bursts show me that this guy will be able to put up buckets without a problem. I think part of the assist problem was players not making their shots and the system, but last few games he's also just trying to score more.

I like it. I hope this dude calls up Steph Curry this summer and works with him. What a perfect colleague to work with and improve his ball-handling. Russell also probably could thrive by mastering a set 3 pointer, especially if we move forward with Julius, Jordan and possibly Simmons.

Yep, a major issue is that Russ does not have a good pick and roll partner. Black is the best one at the moment but Boron hates him. Sacre/Hibbert both can not roll and finish. Randle needs some time to learn how to set a proper screen. If we had a coach that actually understood these things, maybe randle might learn or black may get some burn. Combine that with our lack of shooting and its clear why Russ' assists numbers are not higher.

So he gets off to another quick start and D'Angelo gets relegated to being a jump shooter once again. Quit playing him with Huertas. Matter of fact that scrub shouldn't play at all.

Generally, he is getting to the spots he wants on the floor; he just missed some shots tonight. I think he got fatigued.

Plus in the second half, Houston was trapping and icing the pick in roll more with Russell. We'll probably see more of that moving forward...

Like others have said if Russell played as a pg which is the reason we drafted him than an off the ball sg (which kills his rhythm), he would be efficient and averaging more assists and points. It's our boneheaded coach that makes these dumb decisions....ugh

I've been a Laker fan since the late 80s. Sometimes laker fans can only see basketball through their laker goggles.

Are you seriously trying to argue a point guard that is shooting 31 percent from the field and averaging four turnovers a game isn't significantly inferior to Russell?
