Will the Warriors match the Lakers 33?

  1. No way. Some night Curry is going to go cold and they lose.

What I love about them winning is their style of play. Fast, spacing, unselfish, fantastic defense. I hope more teams go this way.

I'm a Laker fan through and through, but pounding the ball into Shaq was effective, but not the style I enjoy watching. The Queen teams we beat up on were easier on the eyes.

Not sure what our identity will be going forward, but we need to figure it out soon.

It's pretty amazing that Curry and the Warriors seem universally liked. Normally, when you're that good, you start to garner some haters.

Normally people get really cocky when their winning but I haven't seen or heard of them acting like it so makes it easier to like them and root for them. Cuz I'm a laker fan first but I'll gladly root for them also unless they play the lakers of course

I never realized this, the 38-2 record. That's incredible

I mentioned how stupid I thought that was the other day. I can't believe they are legitimately counting last season's wins. That kind of makes me want the Warriors to lose a game if I'm honest. Streaks don't take a break over the summer to rest. They don't stop for the playoffs and preseason. A streak is something that happens in a row, without interruption.

Yep . GS streak of 26 wins in a row ( last 3 in the Finals +23) which is a record ( 2nd team is at 20) makes more sense .

Yeah there's no need to prop up what they're doing. They're NOT at 26 wins, they're at 22 wins. That's already incredible. Let it be incredible without trying to help them make history.

Doesn't matter what is right. All that matters is how the league sees it. So, they are already super close. The second to last game before they break the streak is against Cleveland. If they are undefeated going into that game it will mark the only time in his NBA career that LeBron will have me rooting for him to win.

I genuinely didn't know the NBA counts games from last season when I voted. I thought reporters were saying that to make them and their story look even better. Taking that into account, yes they can win 33 "in a row". I will forever qualify it if they don't win 33 in a row this season though (not that it matters), and I'll still think the Lakers doing it was more real and more difficult in that smaller league.

Yeah good luck getting the majority of people to recognize that as passing the old Laker record with an asterisk next to it.

NBA said they track both, but some members of the media are deciding to do this "wraparound" counting. This morning, Dan Patrick and everyone on that show was basically saying that the wraparound is stupid.

That just legitimizes the Warriors, in my mind.

Their owner , coach and main players have not really said or done anything which warrants hatred .

Hate usually comes from this .

Well, that's that. Damn impressive streak even if they didn't reach 33/34. Now they start another one and probably keep going for that 72-10 Bulls record.

Laker record safe, for now. I remember one time Chick said no one will ever break that record. So far he's right. But damn teams keep getting close.
