I still like Mitch as well, but at this point, a complete house cleaning is needed. An ideal offseason (since Durant isn't coming to this dumpster fire) might be steal Harrison Barnes away with a poison pill contract. Sign Luke Walton as head coach. Draft Skal with the pick we now have a chance of keeping. We have all 5 of our starters set and all are under 25 years old. Barnes helps Luke institute the system the Warriors are running. Ryan West becomes GM and hires more younger, analytics savvy front office personnel. Essentially we are a new team.

As much as Mitch has done for us, I would be a little sad in letting him go. But Mitch and Jim are the two dudes hiring Brown, D'Antoni and Boron. Mitch has also never proven he can win in this new anti-Laker salary cap era. We have not won a single playoff game since 2012. And because of the season we are having, it can't possibly happen until 2017. This is the Los Angeles Lakers we are talking about. A 5 year drought of not one playoff victory?

There is no reason to have any hope or faith as long as he is the HC.

On the bright side of things this Thanksgiving, if Scott fails to bring us at least thirty wins this season I think he's done. I don't see how the FO could possibly bring him back. I think that Scott was primarily brought in here to coach for Kobe's last stand these past two years. With the way that Kobe is playing and Byron is coaching, I really think they will both be gone next season. I'm looking forward to a fresh start next year and I'll take any coach over Byron at this point (except Mike Dunleavy).

Yeah I'm not sure how the Lakers can justify keeping a coach that's given them nothing but 20 win seasons.

Sixers just tied Byron record of 26 losses in a row .

This streak will reach 28 then end at the expense of the " It's all about manning up and trusting each other" guru

Ugh.. The franchise killer is still here. How can one person know so little about basketball and people? Everytime he opens his mouth this big pile of crap comes pouring out. This guy still being in a coaching position is one of the most unexplainable things I have ever seen. Did the entire front office move to another country? I can not adequately express my frustration with this...

With this person (whose name I will no longer speak) still hired to destroy our team 20 wins is completely out of reach.

Byron Scott is the easy target, but our problems are just as bad when you look at our front office.

^^ Yep, that pretty much confirms the tank. I honestly think we're headed for a worse record than last year given Byron's horrible coaching thus far. I hope we get lucky and keep the pick. But they better not reward Byron with another year of coaching for it or no free agents will come here.

If the situation remains the same until the end of 2015 and Scott is still the coach , I'd say the tank is officially on and confirmed .

As for the pick odds , I wonder if our FO thinks we are due after the CP3 scandal ...
