    I can hear Byron already, "You guys wanted me to give him more mins, I did and we still lost, back to benching him and playing Lou 40 mins for the next 10-15 games."

    Sprained his ankle and his shot left him. Played well otherwise.

    Looking more aggressive each game, I like it. Glad we avoided another heartbreak and it was just a minor sprain.

    This kid is going to be a triple-double threat in this league.

    I'm seeing the progress. the game's starting to come to him and he knows his spots on the floor (when to pass, when to shoot, when to hit the cutting man, setting the tempo, etc...)

    Keep at it DLo!

    But earlier today the MORON said D'Angelo sometime around the end of NEXT year is going to say he's starting to get it. Quote effing unquote. For the love of god FO, how can you watch this tool be even worse of a coach than Mike Brown and Mike D'Antoni? Just sucking the life out of the organization. Eff you Byron!!!!!

    i'm seeing progress, too. he had some defensive issues last night (closing out on three point shooters), but i liked his offensive game.

    See that's more like it. The quote in the Byron thread makes no sense, but this is how you build a kid's confidence right here.

    His rebounding ability is a pleasant surprise. He has a nose for the ball actually. He's not necessarily boxing out like a traditional rebounder or whatever, but he's going and finding rebounds when he's on the floor. Reminds me of a young Kobe, but instead of athleticism he's a little more wily.

    Yeah, exactly. He has that natural talent for sure. I think it's safe to say that DAR is not going to be a bust. He was a good pick. Now, if we just had a system for our three young guys to thrive in. It feels almost as if they are playing street ball for the most part... lots of dribbling that goes nowhere and tons of iso ball. You can't win much like that, regardless of the talent level. And I actually do think that the Lakers have great talent.

    Byron's version of the Princeton has them running passing drills around the perimeter where nobody really gets the ball moving to the basket and nothing happens for 12 seconds or so. :D

    D'Angelo, Jordan, and Julius in a spread offense will look really nice. Get a 3 point shooting SF in there and in a few years, look out.

    this is the roto note today for D-Lo;

    "D'Angelo Russell is now calling 90 percent of the plays when he's on the floor.

    "He needs that confidence," Byron Scott said. "He needs to know that we believe in him. Giving him the ball and saying you will run the show pretty much says it all." This is a big difference from just a couple of weeks ago, when Scott and Russell were splitting the calls evenly. Over his last three games, Russell is averaging 14.3 points, 6.0 rebounds, 3.3 assists and 2.0 3-pointers, and he's also been able to stay on the floor with average north of 32 minutes during that stretch. It's taking some time, but things are noticeably improving for Russell as he trends upward."
