Biggest mistake our FO has made; hiring Byron.

If the FO wants to pick up Durant in the offseason, then this team needs to win games. Plain and simple.

Winning games comes to down to talent and execution. We have mostly offensive talent, with Roy being our lone defensive gem, but we have zero execution on either side of the court, and our coach is not using our talent to the best of their abilities.

Byron is going to be the first to go if the ship doesn't get turned around. And frankly, he deserves it.

I hate to say it, but I don't see how we stand a chance at getting Durant.

Even if we fire Byron I don't see us turning things around enough to convince Durant to leave a championship contender that'll likely be in the mix the next five years.

Byron honestly piss me off so much. Hopefully all these line up changes and Mitch there watching the game is a sign that if things don't work out, changes are coming.

If he's sitting the young guys, I am rooting for losses.

He implemented lineup changes earlier than I expected. Nance/Talk is an interesting pairing. Very active. Glad he inserted Metta into the rotation.

Not sure if lineup changes were of his own doing or did Mitch have a talk with him.

Even though we got the win, Byron still manages to find a way to piss me off. Why would you sit Russell?? Let him finish off the 4th, it made ZERO sense when he took Russell out and put in Lou. Why?

Interesting in that like just 3 days ago he was saying Bass & Kelly were going to continue for 10-15 games. Doc's letter to the organization got sent to the website "feedback" link right after that and I would bet it got passed along upwards to the FO types. It made too much sense with too much passion to just ignore it.

Who knows ... maybe it confirmed what they were already seeing, and the reference to the growing number of pitchforks amongst the fans at the end was golden.

Mitch was also at the game, and it was said that he rarely goes on trips this early into the season, so many someone is in the hot seat.

Byron almost blew the game with that last timeout.

What an ugly game. But I'll take the win.

I'll give him props for changing it up. Of course it was by necessity brought on by his previously poor substitutions. But at least it was encouraging tonight and led to the win. More Nance, Black and MWP for defensive purposes please.

This absolutely. I'm glad you said something.

We've been hating on Scott all season for good reason, but he did a good job yesterday by putting in guys who would be effective. He also forced Kobe into the post more often. Got to give him props when he does something right.

Game ball? Nah. Still though he deserves some credit.

Yea he definitely took a step in the right direction for one game, but...there's still miles of ground to cover.

That's possibly true. Our chances of making the playoffs are steep in the WC anyway. And even moreso if we have to bring in a brand new coach without the benefit of training camp.
