Sigh. He just refuses to give us a single day off from criticizing him...

That's because he doesn't know what he is doing. We are running some simplistic offensive sets, not playing to our PG's strengths; we rely on Hibbert playing D on his own (which he actually does well, I have to admit). We have future all-star quality players in Randle and Clarkson, and an amazing bench, but no way to "glue" everything together, because Byron can't coach. He has to go.

Seems like he's in panic mode... Writing must be on the wall.

It pains me to type this, but I'll be rooting for losses with nice games from our youngsters.

Sorry I haven't kept up with the NBA in the last 2 years. I've read a few of our members endorse Ollie for head coach. Is he that good? substantially better than Scott?

He looks good at Uconn. He's young, "fresh", learned from great Jim Calhoun. He must be better than Byron :D
I don't think we can "steal" him from Uconn though. He has a lenghty contract (or so i think).
Other option is to hire Thibs and at the same time steal Luke from the Warriors. Thibs with his D, Luke with the O, it could work. Then, in 3-4 years give the keys to Luke and enjoy the ride ;).

Talking to the press is not his strong suit. Unfortunately, neither is coaching.

Byron Scott is the master of uttering many words without saying anything at all. He's like the guy who constantly says "it is what it is."

Tarik instead of Kelly, Metta/Nance for Bass if he isn't in any rhythm.

Our bench should be huertas,Lou,young,Nance, tariq with Nance and tariq both athletic and more defensive upside then Kelly and bass I see more pick n rolls with huertas and better defense in there

How can Huertas, Lou, Nick, Nance, Tarik not be THE bench unit against most teams?

How is this so hard? You don't need more shooting with Lou and Nick. So Kelly is redundant. You need more height, power and more defense.

To add... so you are developing:

First unit: 3 young players, starting material, playing together with 2 starter veterans
Second unit: 2 young players, probably bench players, playing together with 3 bench veterans

Dammit... you have it all and you are not bright enough to actually go with it.

So who is he going to take out for not playing hard, everyone? I only see a few guys playing really hard. Besides that, I'd like to see guys playing smart, not just hard, and that's on Byron. Kelly plays hard, that doesn't mean he should be on the floor, because he stinks. If he wants to experiment with the lineups though, that's fine, because they've been garbage. I hope that doesn't mean less time for Russell, Randle, or Clarkson though, these guys don't need "tough love", they need to be taught.

All the threats only carry weight if he actually benches Kobe for chucking threes and playing no D.

Yes, we are really going to improve as a team by sitting our young guys and playing our vets more. The wins will pour in and the franchise will be better off in the long-run. Byron is a walking old-school cliche, I wish he'd shut up, or someone in the FO would shut him up.
