Yea if he could tone down the acrobatics with the ball on some of his drives and just really focus on putting it up there well, he'd convert even more of them. Whoever taught Jodie Meeks to finish on layups should help Julius.

^ I have been unable to watch any games so far. Only read up on it afterwards. Can someone please explain the context? (I think that's awesome, btw).

I think someone commented in gametime chat that Julius runs like a t-rex

Don't mind losing when we get to see Randle double doubles, and filling up the stat sheets with assists steals and blocks

Randle and graceful do not go hand in hand but he makes it work. Defenders are still giving him the jumper but he can still attack them at will. I do want to see what he does against a team with actual interior defense.

That reverse one handed to suddenly two handed dunk was ridiculous.

He's one of the few bright spots of this season so far. They need to give him the damn ball more.

Rookie treatment from the refs last night. Dude wasn't getting any calls, whereas Mr Ponytail got everything.

yeah, but when you initiate a lot of contact, you have to be ready for non-calls. i agree, though, that he could have gotten a couple more, particularly on those strip attempts (they were getting all arm). but when he goes up and fends off with his off-arm, he's not going to get that call.

he also got smoked by faried after he trash talked him. another lesson, there, imo.

overall, though, he's one of the very very few bright spots in the early going. i'll take it. if the lakers were 2-2 and randle had looked like crap, i'd be more bummed.

Faried wasn't getting much on him one-on-one but he was out working him which should definitely never happen to Randle. He has to learn better box out technique. I know Faried is a terrific rebounder, but still. Randle should be even better. Also, his footwork in the post made it easy for Faried to defend him. Got to improve there. Not everyone will be so easy to bully. Tough lesson for the kid. He showed that when he needed to, he could beat Faried though.

I also agree the refs gave him a tough night. He's very reminiscent of Shaq and LeBron in the sense that he's so unique physically and uses his body so much, refs will continue having a hard time deciding what is/isn't a foul for him. It'll be a problem his whole career pretty much.

Love what I'm seeing from this kid. It seems we have our second piece moving forward. Clarkson and Randle will be a great duo moving forward, hopefully Russell can figure it out. And to be honest, I'd love it if we can keep our pick

Randle's off to a pretty good start - young dude, very inexperienced at the NBA level, but he's getting his.

He would have won rookie of the year last year if he didn't get injured

If we keep our pick it means one of two things: Our team completely falls apart or we get INSANELY lucky in the lottery. But I'd love Simmons to go with Randle/Russell/Clarkson...or better yet...sign Durant and draft that big man that's going to Kentucky. Forget his name. It's a crazy spelling name.
