Overall a bright spot in game 1. He was our defense tonight. That must be Byron's defensive scheme: Roy Hibbert.

Anyways, just put some pine tar on your hands btw Roy. Lots of fumbles tonight.

Hibbert was great tonight. But, man oh man, is he the worst 7'2 finisher around the basket in league history? Jeezus, he's Kwame-esque.

I don't get why he doesn't just dunk the ball on some of those.

Most people can't dunk when laying on the ground.

Apparently they made a popular web-game based on Roy's college track days.

Just riding the box score and watching highlights, but I enjoyed Roy's screens and his D. And now I will waste a few days of my life playing qwop as I never heard of it before. Ran 10.9 m and dragged myself 20.

Rock solid and I can already tell he's going to hit those 8/12/2 averages I was hoping for. Heck he may even get 10/12/2 or so for us with so many guys chucking out there there's plenty of offensive rebound opportunities.

The chemistry is still so bad, but it'll improve I'm sure.

Roy was very solid overall last night, but damn he makes me nervous when he falls down so much. I'm so used to seeing a #17 fall down and get injured and miss a big portion of the season.

Superb free throw shooting, disciplined rotational defense, contesting shots without fouling and great picks for our shooters. Hibbert also has taken over Gasol's Laker mantle of falling downat least three times a game.

When he was on his feet and not bobbing the ball, he looked great. This is nothing new. He's doing everything he's supposed to and what we hoped he would.

Also loved that during the Randle/KG discussion, as soon as he heard the whistle he spun around and was ready to sprint in if needed.

I saw that too. Hibbert was absolutely ready to rock if he had to. Awesome.

I know Hibbert knows he has his role cut out for him here, but I also think he has lots of room to develop himself.

As the season goes along, I wouldn't be surprised if he gets utilized more in the post. Big guy really needs to use his hips to back guys down and get better position. It seems like anyone can keep him in check because he's so upright.

Love his mindset though, he's going to critical to the success of the team down the line.
