He better go at him while he can... The way Randle is improving under Worthy it won't be long before it is a very one sided battle. I have tremendous respect for Draymond but JR is a different type of animal than we have seen before. Also he has the teammates that are going to make it hard to double him and won't back down. This is a tough group. The next chapter of Laker lore is about to be written.

I was driving around town today (I live in Anaheim), and I saw this ad on many bus stops, it was pretty cool. It didn't say "the next generation", but it was something close to that.

I love it when he bumps bigger defenders. I thought did Julius just moved Festus Ezeli? He just needs to finish the shot after the bump consistently.

I don't recall on that, would not surprise ... but he definitely one time did something that caught my eye (maybe ripping the ball from him when they both had it solidly ?) or something else where Julius looked 20% (pulled from you know where) stronger than Dramond Green already. Eye calc. :p

Someone made an observation a couple days ago here when someone else stated that Randle has small hands ...... that he should learn from Kobe how to handle that, the strong cupping grip he had to perfect to be the great dunker he always was.

Because we know Julius has hops and he is 6'9" even if his arms are a little less than optimal big man length as well. And he has the strength like is being said to bounce off even bigger guys and keep coming at the rim. But at that very moment he suddenly plays smaller and double clutches or some move to release more from his shoulder to head area. Kobe's help in this area could be HUGE.

^^^ Who would handle that here at LB ..... getting the info to Kobe that he needs to help Julius in that area? Needs to be a higher up. CEO >> Barns?

So are 2 of our "Peoples'" ROTY candidates ..... Towns and Randle matched against one another on Wed? Or are they running Towns at 5? Is he even healthy.... haven't been paying attention. If they match against each other that should be interesting with Randle's strength, size and quickness against the taller Towns who can shoot from deep. Hopefully Metta has taught Julius a lot of what he had to do against Kevin Durant, when Metta was quicker. But Julius should be able to overpower him at times if he can do that obviously to D. Green already.

No, matchup not happening one on one. Randle has to deal with KG and learn what a tool he is to play against. Forgot about him. Towns at the 5, Wiggins the 3, Kevin Martin the 2 and Rubio at the point. Going to be tough on Roy with Towns pulling him deep outside or he will just drain 3s if reasonably hitting. Maybe they could better use Black on him if Roy is too slow? Who else?

Then again that was dated in July and just musing about what their lineup would be. What are they in fact running most recently in pre-season, from anyone who is aware?

^^ That's the problem with Kobe playing the three. I've said so since the summer. If Byron is serious about not starting Russell then I think Kobe should play the 2 and start MWP or Brown.

wiggins still doesn't have a ton of ball skills (though they're improving), and his jumper isn't fantastic. he's not strong enough to get post position on kobe, either. kobe would just have to keep him off the offensive boards and keep track of him in transition (two things that age might hinder, admittedly). in other words, I don't view wiggins as a matchup nightmare yet.

Those are two things Kobe is really bad at, but you're right I don't care much about the Wiggins match-up. I think LeBron, Carmelo, Jimmy Butler, Rudy Gay... There's a lot of tough match-ups out there for him still.

Young fella will be pumped up for the game tonight, but he needs to keep that in check. Patience and take his time driving to the basket.
