Man that's a sigh of relief. We need our big man in the middle, I don't want to see Sacre playing anymore.

I did see the moment he kind hurt it. Looked impact to me, but it was pretty quick, IIRC.

Anyway - there is no reason for him to play. Bob + Black. No Sacre.

    P.S.

    Watch Sacre start.

Hibbert is someone we can't afford to lose, he helps set the tone.

I think its fair to say he's the most important Laker because of what he does which is clog up the paint, if we want any chance of having a good year and a chance to make the playoffs we need Roy healthy and injury free.

    No question.

He should stop falling on the hard floor so damn often .... that would be a good plan for starters.

Him falling is his way to prevent injuries I would think from absorbing impact. This injury was knee to knee, correct me if I'm wrong.

I think you're right. He falls basically on purpose to avoid opposing forces on his long limbs. It's smart, but it means he's on the ground a lot.

Especially after loosing the weight I've wondered about his back pocket leverage against the big guys that have that kind of mass and are bumping him backwards. My main concern with him, as everywhere else he is looking good so far.

Eh I'm not that concerned about it. His length is impressive and he's got solid core strength. He'll be able to change shots even against the few bruisers left out there like Al Jefferson and Marc Gasol.

Thank you. I defer to your opinion here of course. It's great to hear you feel his core is strong. Loving what I'm seeing and reading and listening to Roy say to us all for this year's team.

:headscratch:I've never heard of Al Jefferson referred to as a bruiser.

Always heard skilled offense, but no defense. Just never bruiser? Maybe I haven't seen him enough.

You guys better get used to him being on the floor because while in IND thats one thing I always heard from fans and even watching him off and on. I remember that series with the Heat in the playoffs where he played really well and he was always on the ground a few times a game.

Scary for us fans to watch, no doubt..

I'm very happy with Roy this pre-season. He is a very good all-round center, no question.

Good read. I think he's going to be a great addition for us for what he brings both on and off the court. He's a very quiet, reserved leader (same with Bass) which will be the good cop to Kobe's (albeit softened) bad cop routine.

Hibbert's efforts to get the group to gel are very apparent. Whenever something good happens on the court, Hibbert's got a celebration going on. My favorite was him walking off the court with his hands in the air after Nance laid down that dunk. Just seeing stuff like that has to get the other guys engaged and feeling good. And we all saw how everyone came together in celebration of RKelly's Ibelieveicanfly moment. Fun stuff.

Anyone catch Open Court, everybody made fun of Isaiah Thomas because he picked the Lakers to make the playoffs. But Zeke said the main reason was Big Roy. Hopefully it comes true. I still have no idea what we can do as a team because of Byron's 1 full quarter for each player except JC rotation in the preseason.

Hibbert is doing what Odom used to do...keeping things even keeled among them. He knows nothing was easy or handed to him so he had to put in extra effort to succeed. Witnessing how more athletic his teammates in comparison, he's encouraging them to improve and be better prepared mentally. Good people...
