That game should at the very least give SOME hope to those who don't see "anything special" in Randle. Glad to see him bogunce back, keep it up Julius!
Yeah, so how do we feel now about young Julius? Still ready to dismiss his whole career before he plays a single full NBA regular season game? I didn't think so.
Uh oh. Kobe gonna be in BIG trouble with some peeps here for invoking the name of Lamar Odom to use in describing Julius' game. Watch out Mamba.
great game for JR! No Favors though so I'm still cautiously optimistic of his progress. At least we got to see a glimpse of what he's supposed to be doing in practice.
Did you guys see the quotes from Roy on Randle? Can't paste tweets for some reason, but here's what he had to say: "Julius is an animal. He's the future of this team, the future face of the NBA. The boy can play." "The things that he does at his size - dribble the ball up the court, dunking. Sky's the limit. Never seen anybody like him." :ShaqOh:
Heck of a game from Randle, very nice to see. Absolutely he is going to be up and down and needs time, but when he has games like this and shows flashes of brilliance, it sure is fun to watch.
Randle will have his ups and downs, but that game should quiet some of the doubters. I said yesterday I felt like some of those close to the basket shots would start dropping and it would lift his confidence and overall play and it seemed like that pretty much happened last night.
The word of the day for Randle yesterday was: Activity. I'm not ready to say it, but it seems his activity picks up when he made a couple baskets, spurring some confidence in him. (I.e. Like Bynum was). I hope it's not like that and more from feeding off Metta's energy. He was all over the boards. Playing solid defense. And was a little more physical in the paint. Control will be the one I'm waiting on from him.
7 of 12, 16 points, assist leader on the team last night, 3 steals and a block. Plus he was in beast mode getting after the offensive boards and put backs. He's still my favorite young Laker. Can't wait to watch him develop this season.
Beastly game. Of course, he'll have those here and there, and he will have a 4 points, 2 rebounds type games as well. We have to be patient with him. But the potential is there. Keep working with Worthy!
