Well, there is playing your 6'9" Rookie PG at Center in the Finals, and then there is playing a slowfooted PF at SF, while not really letting anyone shoot 3s.

One is being creative, other is being stubborn mule.

Granted. I'm certainly not agreeing with all his moves just trying to put some rational behind them. While only in a high school setting I look back and have to laugh at some of the moves I made in desperate situations. Coaches stay up all night plotting ways to get an extra bucket or two, figure out a better way to play defense. They are obsessed with getting everything out of every player. It is the make up of most coaches that makes them believe that no matter what hand they are dealt hard work and perseverance will over come. Later it is easy to see but at the time you are in coaching mode you have to try something.

My last thought on coach Byron is that I would be much more concerned if he didn't go outside the box and try something and just graciously accepted losing.

Best stealth tank ever once we were put in that mode by the third straight season of injuries, started of course with Nash, Kelly's hamstring 1st day of practice and Nick's ripped up thumb before the season started. With more to of course follow.

Although, I was encouraged by the interview with Byron, the season is where the rubber meets the road. Assuming we have good health, I'll set the bar at 32 wins for Byron to get us too with this roster as constructed. This doesn't include any trades during the season that might improve us, key players getting injured, etc...let's see if he can make that happen.

Not sure I care what anyone is saying, but if there is OT, pretty sure he's going to suck it up and be part of it. Trying to keep him off the floor might be funny to watch though.

If you really want to preserve Kobe how about following his old jersey number as PT. Now that's hard capping.

Byron said we might see roster cuts after the Sacramento game. Could be interesting......lots of mediocre options to get rid of, and maybe with consistent PT some will start to grow a little faster.

Expected cuts first: Frazier and Holmes.
    Second cuts: Sacre and Jabari.
