it's a startup. real big stuff. i hear josh harris provided the seed money in the exact amount of lebron james's endorsement contract. which is legal. or interminably investigated. which means legal.

Apparently it's only a 45 minute chopper ride. It said that's what JJ did when he was with the 6ers.

About those blizzards, Noreasters and any other violent weather conditions on practice and game days.

    :Lebronwhat:

Would guess he will have a place to stay in Philly close by and have to really watch the weather reports.

Shoulda stayed in LA. It's going to suck not seeing him in P&G for me after 8 seasons, but I get that the breakup is better as has happened with him pissed about the non PO last year and how this season played out. No fears now of the farewell tour or injuries due to Father Time finally catching up. Zero fan of his narcissism but was a big fan of him on our team.

I'm starting from the premise that I don't condemn LeBron's decision and, in fact, I completely respect it.

The only thing I can do is note how different his career is from that of those players he's often mentioned as the greatest of all time.

Kobe has always played for us, Jordan only for the Bulls (I don't even consider the Wizards period), Kareem for the Bucks and for us, Magic only for us, Bird only for the C Bags, Duncan only for the Spurs, and Curry will only finish with the Warriors.

For a player who is and will be in the all-time top 5 or top 3 rankings, he's played for quite a few teams. Unusual.

Interesting that our best lineup, by a margin, didn't feature Bron. I think his swap for Kessler as the 3rd piece will have a tremendous positive effect on the team.
Has nothing to do with Bron's quality and output, he is a current top20 player. He just didn't made sense with Luka/AR at all. Great decision by the FO

oh, and i'm sorry, but this is...rich:

    upload_2026-7-30_9-0-5.png

after sitting through years of repeated and obvious demands--often phrased as such--i can't believe someone would even try to make this claim.

maybe philly lebron won't be demanding that his whole team be traded every three weeks, but la lebron certainly did.

I hate this current world trend where anyone says a blatant lie and it's fine. We as society lost completely any shame to say dumb stuff out loud. And this not politically driven, everyone does it from all sides.

Worst thing is that millions of people buy it (that's why they do it).

On James, it's literally his MO. They traded a #1 pick for Love. Traded the whole Cavs roster on a deadline. Went to Miami only with the big 3. Was here half the time with 1+1 contract that is terrible for roster construction. We had a bunch of 1y contracts for a long time so we could always be open to a big move. In all the 23 years he played, he left teams 3 times and I'd say no non-stars stayed with him for his tenure in each team. You are always on the block. He clearly believes in star-construction, everyone else is irrelevant. Don't make me mention Russ. He's constantly putting pressure in the FO via media, always leaving in the air that he might leave if you don't do a strong move. It's always let's go all-in to try to win and if we don't and can't improve more, I leave lol. He never approaches it with a mindset to "ok let's build this team step by step to build a culture and a group to contend for many years". Hell, his most known nickname is LeGM lol

Now, I totally get why he feels he can do it. Because he can. He was a long time the best player in the world, is a media machine and a marketing diamond. Brings a ton of money to franchises. He uses that power wisely to influence things the way he sees fit, and he worked for it.

The downside is that any franchise decision is always for his own benefit (always all-in mode for short term potential success) + never takes the blame when it goes wrong which is the worst part. That's why I wanted him gone and many people don't like him

    Dude is a real wordsmith.

    :Crazyartest:

And that IS "Rich" .... being claimed about the 2 of them. Shaq level disgust.

    :Shaqdisappointed:

And yet I was in the camp of wanting him back along with some real upgrades to our depth, defense and athleticism.

I went to find the F*** Them Picks T-shirt photo but was surprised to learn he was never photographed with one on:

No, LeBron James has never been photographed wearing a "F--- Them Picks" t-shirt. [1]
While the "LeGM" meme frequently jokes about his influence over front-office trades, any images you may have seen of him in that specific shirt are digitally altered counterfeits.
The phrase and the iconic shirt actually belong to an NFL executive:
    • The Real Origin: Los Angeles Rams General Manager Les Snead famously popularized the "F--- Them Picks" mantra after aggressively trading away future draft assets to build a championship roster.[1, 2]
    • The Real Photo: Snead wore the official "F--- Them Picks" t-shirt—which featured a picture of his own face—during the Rams' Super Bowl victory parade in February 2022. [1, 2]
    • The LeBron Connection: LeBron James heavily praised Snead on social media at the time. Because James was simultaneously pressuring the Los Angeles Lakers' front office to trade their own future draft choices for immediate help, internet creators quickly photoshopped Snead's parade picture to put LeBron's face on the body, or transposed the slogan onto standard photos of LeBron arriving at games.[, 2]
