He sucks.

 

Right. Like at a certain point, it matters if you can put the ball in the hoop, defend, etc no matter how great you are in the locker room or look in practice.

In the past, while I've agreed that coaches overused the players, I got why Ham and Vogel locked in on certain guys. They played hard and gave us something out there and if properly used were actually useful players. I don't see what Gabe gives us most nights.

 

I'm really liking this hoops collective on Youtube with Jovan, Jason, and Trevor. Take a listen to it today or this weekend.

Yeah I really like Lakers Collective with those guys. Hoops Collective is the one with Windhorst and Bontemps, whom I cannot stand lol.

It is, mostly thanks to Jason and Jovan, even though Trevor may seem like the main guy.

BTW, this makes me wonder, what happened to the great western forum pod idea? Does anybody know? To those unfamiliar, it was a similar concept with podcasters from various places joining forces - Pete Zayas (from my favorite Lakers podcast), Jovan Buha and Anthony Irwin, who seemed actually fine in this setting. I really enjoyed the first episode (or maybe it was two?) but couldn't find any more. Did they give up on the idea after just one?

Just to stay on topic - plase just leave Gabe, you're almost as useless as the lost Dalton brother.

 

I disagree about Trevor. I think he’s a good host, on his show and others. Does he know the most about the X’s and O’s of basketball? No, but he’s still easy to listen to and is knowledgeable enough.

 

LIstening to Lakers Collective felt good that I wasn't losing my mind and that Timpf also picked up that Gabe's dude continuosly just walked into the lane against. He's supposed to be at least stout on defense.

 

What is there to agree or disagree about? It's more a matter of taste than opinion. It's not that I dislike Trevor or think he's a bad host — I just prefer the other two. I find Trevor boring; he often repeats the same idea in several consecutive sentences, phrasing it in different ways, and personally, I don't like that. At the same time, I understand people who like him, and it's not without reason that his show is the most popular (at least that's my impression). The most important thing is that we have a choice and everyone can find something for themselves. By the way, this cooperative format is great, and I hope they continue with it.

 

I feel like Jovan decided to do Lakers Collective instead, so it ended up just being Pete going on Irwin's show every week.
