Waiting for LT to come in here and talk about enjoying the journey while MJ tells the world he wanted to end lives in a professional way to win.

And again you confuse the player with the fan experience. It’s a joke. Why don’t you just NOT watch any Lakers basketball until/unless we make it to the NBA finals?

Meh he literally took 2 years off and ditched the team with a prime Pippen and Grant (a team that was one literally one terrible ref call away from going to the Finals btw. How come that wasn't emphasized in the last dance).

They still would have had to play Indiana and the Rockets.

His pops was murdered and everyone blamed him. What would you do?

Good gawd!! That dude that posted who's going to stop us from rolling off 12 in a row may have risked a jinx but he very well could have been right.

Woooooo!! Pile em up now. Get top 3 seed and AR his first All Star selection.

Has the best chance in the last 5 years of winning a title while coasting through the regular season. Hopefully ego doesn't get in the way of a potential title winning season.

    not b**** about load management?

the amount of running/cutting players do today is just another level. I've been rewatching 80s/90's ball and it just a different game. This is noticeable in distance covered stats like they use in soccer.

i caught hell for it, but this was why i think larry bird couldn't be the defender he was then in today's game.

Sounds like soft talk to me. Running and shooting 3s is more taxing then hand checks and body blows? Come on.

You literally said what else could Jordan do other then take 2 years off and now you're saying load management is soft talk? And yes Pace and speed is going to cause more soft tissue injuries then hand checks. Hand checks werent punches they were uncalled fouls

really? i think bird would thrive in today's game. guys like jokic and luka have proven that you don't need elite athleticism to succeed

not to reopen the discussion, but i didn't say he wouldn't thrive--i said he wouldn't be considered a good defender. he'd be like luka on that end, whereas his defense was a plus in the 80s. i just think what's asked of you defensively is way different now. offensively, he'd be just fine.

As you should have. If anyone thinks Bird couldn't dominate in today's game is talking out their bungholes.
