this is definitely his last season with the lakers

either he's going to retire at season's end, or he'll play a season in that new global league he's an "advisor" for and call it quits after that

If this quote is truly from Rich Paul, then ship him out now.
I’m not trading with Dubbs unless I get Jimmy, Post, Podz, and Lesser Curry(sign and trade for $7 million).
We would have to wait until Jan 1st to do this though because of Curry’s trade restriction.
Or, ship him to NY for Anunobe, Hart, and Yabusele in December(trade restrictions).

Debilitating issue, it's hard to maintain the rest of your body/mind at his age when dealing with that sort of nerve problem.. you can't train the rest of your body normally and things quickly decline, unfortunately for us.. (since he takes damn near the max and two roster spots).

He has the money, will power and trainers to return no doubt.. but I expect a groin/foot type injury to quickly follow.

..... or is it clickbait stirring up **** for views? No idea and haven't watched. LeBron on Media Day seemed completely happy with being a Laker and ALL the right things were said. He was eager to get after it with Luka and AR and the team.

    100% with this.

F him and his games with the media. He'll come to earth in the summer when no team is paying him top dollars for his old a**
    There you go.
Bron mastered the media thing. He has a huge team just for that. He won't be upfront about his opinions for most part and will always play this 'leak' game. He will only come out and speak his mind when the situation requires it and will be the 'good guy' most of the times. It's like a chess game with him

Has it been mentioned here yet that there is some thought out there from at least one doctor type that James could have brought on the sudden sciatica injury with all the golf and torso twisting he did this summer while taking up the sport. Oh ****!!

A few unknowns here so I go with what I see. I thought last season would be his last and when I see and hear LeBron talk in interviews he just doesn't seem committed. Understandable at his age, but really can mess with the team. It would not shock me at all if he never plays another game. Just speaking for myself, I cannot wait for As LeBron Turns to be cancelled. I am going to celebrate like we won a championship the day he is no longer a Laker.

is this chirping from lebron/klutch or just some talking head suggesting it?

if it's the former, yeah, whatever, bye.

in any case, when you make 1/3 of the salary cap, you don't get to evaluate the roster without you. the roster without you is likely to be a non-playoff team. that's why you make 1/3 of the salary cap.

How do y'all know this came from LeBron? This sounds like a bunch of rumors.

that's why i asked; don't have time to dig up the footage, but it sounds like it could be somebody speculating and not info fed to the media on purpose. gotta stir up laker drama.

There was a quote early in the offseason about watching the Lakers moves. I’d rate the tweet as quite misleading. He may still misread the situation, but if he’s in an out of the lineup, we may be better off shipping him out for a few overpaid, expiring role players. I don’t think it happens, but Lakers FO is in the position of power now.

Hopefully we can go on a tear and focus on trying to win a championship this year, all this outside stuff sure is annoying.

    Pure assumption based on history.

    My line of thought:
    1- it's his MO
2- comes from ESPN, which historically is linked with Bron's media buddies (usually Windy, but also Dave at times)

LeBron has been the poster boy for a great role model his entire career. No history of infidelity or scandals (which is rare for a superstar athlete). He has never been in trouble with the law. Dude has always been there for his kids and now you have people complaining because he did one ad involving alcohol. Give me a break.

Completely agree. It's the internet age. b**** about everyone, maybe some of it will come true and if it doesn't you can just pretend.

Did you watch all (hopefully) his interviews formal and informal on Media Day? He sure seemed to me to be in a great place mentally Laker wise and looking forward to the season, especially with Luka. Been working on off ball stuff he saw that was going to be needed from him. How spoiled are so many Laker fans that they can't appreciate what he does on the floor and never embraced / want him gone just because they don't like his personality. Or the fact he's not 100% dominant all the time any more due to age. Shaq was a f****** a-hole personality wise and bully wise and dissing in the worst way possible our golden boy Kobe (who to me is the greatest Laker ever and 2nd only behind Jordan). After that brutal beat down by Boston in the finals in 2008 .... O'Neal rubs it in dispicably with the Kobe, Kobe how does my a** taste rap .... no less .... but around here compared to the LeBron dislike he's given virtually a pass on all that, hurt it on company time so rehabbing it on company time included. If the shoe fits wear it. Ridiculously entitled Laker fans. For the first couple year of Lakersball we had the Good Kobe / Bad Kobe nights and local radio calling him Ball Hog Bryant. None of these guys are perfect.

At no point did I comment on LeBron as a person or judge his other achievements, so I have no idea why you're bringing this up here. What's more, my statement was general and referred to all celebrities/famous people who choose to promote unhealthy food/habits. IMO, it's bad when they do it. To be honest, I'm surprised that this could be considered controversial.

If, in your opinion, another athlete/celebrity with a negative history can be criticized for such a campaign, but not a guy who is seen as a poster boy, then we couldn't disagree more on this issue. If you have an issue with my issue on promoting alcohol as such, then Bron's past history has really nothing to do with thos discussion.

I really enjoy most of your posts Wino, but I have literally no idea what you're blabbering about in this case. I was not b****ing about anybody, just presenting my opinion on this kind of advertisements, especially when made by famous people (who - again - have countles other options to make money), especially even more by those wh are perceived as role models.

No idea what you mean by "some of it coming true" ad what I cloud possibly pretend "if it doesn't" in this context either.
