I think some in here need to acknowledge that Rob did an excellent job so far this summer.
You know I’m not the biggest Ayton fan, but even I have to admit he’s the best possible option sans trading a bunch of assets for a mid tier big.

I’ve pivoted on Knecht after seeing his play in summer League. I think his only way back to confidence is playing for another club.

Rob did a phenomenal job. We cannot complain. He did everything we wanted and more.

    Center/Ayton

didn’t give Finney Smith 4 yrs. 32 got his replacement younger /Laravia 23

got the perimeter defender to help replace Finney Smith and actually play guard on the perimeter and defend the perimeter guards/Smart

Rob worked the buyout market getting buyouts on players we had to have Ayton and Smart what would we have had to give up for them in a trade???

Rob got all these guys on two year deals.

but all you’ll hear on sports talk radio were Lakers were searching the bottle of the barrel.

meanwhile Adams got 3 yrs. 39 million. And Capella got 3 yrs. 40 million respectively.

And teams went crazy and over paid Look what we did???? Rob’s a savage.

I think that'll be Gabe now that we have Smart. I believe Klieber will get some burn as stretch 5 off the bench. Unless there is some really obvious and great trade to be made that needs his salary.

Idk..We'll see..Gabe played in more games last season, than Smart has in his last 3 combined. It's prudent to hold on to Gabe IMO. Id be nervous coming out of training camp, with just Smart and Bronny at PG.

Kleber? Still unimpressed with his history, I thought Hayes played pretty well in his role last season. He's earned first dibs, on the back up burn IMO.

I know Maxi had a little run, a few years back in Dallas, but Gabe was the starting PG on a team that went to Finals more recently.

    "Lebron, how 'bout dat?"

    -- Rob (Probably)

Haven't traded any assets, but have signed two very solid roster impacting players? I feel like some fans have not given Rob enough credit. Very creative, and clearly not everyone hates the guy if they are willing to get their clients to agree on buyouts, etc.

That being said, I sure hope both of our new buyout players stay healthy. Players are bought out for a reason vs being traded.

That's a new one for me. I know what you meant, but I've never heard that particular malapropism before.

None of the 3 were huge impact guys last year, so to be too positive means we have our P&G shades on. Cautiously optimistic is probably best for now. Just getting Max back might be like signing 4 new players, but they actually have to do just that. Play.

Has to be 3 with LaRavia included as he replaces DFS and he will be up to that task, from watching all the tape and reading what fans who have had him on their team say about him.

Sounds more like the legal CYA boiler plate stuff in small print everywhere IMO than "having our P&G shades on". Then again to believe you at your own words, "you don't look at tape .... because "LeBron turnover" something LeBron something ..... it's understandable I guess. You don't see what kind of a player Jake is. A solid roster impacting player for sure.

They got buyouts bought out because they were on crappy teams. And those teams weren’t playing them and those teams had younger players they wanted to develop.

This team is deep depth. Balance. This is a championship team. Not a big 3 team with a bunch of scrubs.

    Lebron Luka Ayton Reaves Hachimura

That’s balanced scoring out of your 5.

Then you have your defensive unit. Guys who can play defense.

this is what OKC did and Golden State.

Smart Vanderbilt Thiero James Hayes Vincent

Laravia. So damn balanced. This is incredible.

Definitely have to give Rob the credit

He really was creative with what he had to work with and came out smelling like roses

    I don't think he's done either

The roster has improved since our season ended. Pelinka is doing his job, if we can make a decent trade moving forward, he's been excellent this offseason.

Let's see what he does in the playoffs. Hell have occasional good games like vs Boston a few years ago but he's going to be useless in the playoffs
